A little birdie tweeted in my ear:
August 13th at Dover city hall in the council chamber there is going to be a presentation regarding the Congolese “refugees” coming to Dover. As I understand it no questions will be allowed. This whole thing was to be kept under the radar, but word got out. The chamber has a limited capacity, but wouldn’t it be great if tons of people showed up and let the powers that be know that people are paying attention and are not happy. Please spread the word far and wide.
“Bring the mob” of citizens wanting to know what their City Fathers are going to do with their hard earned tax monies….
“No questions will be allowed“; REALLY?? I have a problem when our elected officials decide that they do not have to be responsive to those that put them into office. It is no longer a Representative Republic when our elected public servants decide they will be The Public Masters – holding themselves to be unaccountable in carrying out the peoples’ business.
The Bigger the Government, the smaller the citizen.
And nothing says “smaller the citizen” than being ignored…..or silenced
