Jim Rubens should actually be relieved: “State Rep. Ladd moves from Rubens to Brown camp”

Why?  When I circulated this around to the other Groksters, Steve immediately replied:

“Guy who barely voted with Republicans 6 out of 10 times supports Scott Brown who voted with Democrats 6 out of 10 times.”

Rick Ladd.jpbIndeed!   NH Rep. Rick Ladd, Grafton 4, had an HRA score of 64.2% – FAR less in line with the NH GOP Platform than that “Reagan magic number” of 70-80% “with me” and well within that margin of RINOland.  Consistency and Trust – as a Republican, are you feeling good about being able to Trust his Consistency on his votes to give him yours?  If you are voting for a Republican, is it not a decent expectation for that Republican to support Republican Principles?  Why the reason for the move?

Rep. Rick Ladd, R-Haverhill, said in a statement that he initially supported Rubens’ and is now “disappointed” by Rubens’ initial refusal to pledge to support Brown should Brown win the GOP Senate nomination.

…In a statement from Ladd released by the Brown campaign, Ladd says, “Jim Rubens is a good person and thoughtful candidate. I initially supported Jim’s candidacy, but am disappointed that he has refused to commit to endorsing our eventual nominee for Senate.

Ah!  Another “Republican Republican for the sake of the Party” – a Gene  Chandler type that believes that simply putting an “R” next to your name makes you vunderbar (nonsense)!  I dryly note that Bob Smith has taken the same stance as Jim Rubens (and Karen Testerman as well).Sorry, but taking that tack of being willing to put a Republican into the US Senate that has a proven track record of voting with Democrats the majority of the time, that sits poorly by me.

Note, too, that Ladd has placed yet another Coronation Crown upon Brown’s head – an Obama Nobel Prize moment (for what has Brown done here in NH to so deserve that crown?).  But then, again, Ladd has chosen to join Scott Brown, who voted with Dems 46% of the time his second year in the US Senate and 62% his last year.  Birds of a feather….can we add tar?
