Guess both Obama and Scott Brown bear responsibility for this, right?

Obamacare -Year of the SnakeReason why?  Scott Brown brought has it upon himself (we merely talk about it):

  • Scott Brown keeps emphasizing that he looks forward to working with Democrats again
  • He voted for Romneycare (Obamacare before the steroids hit) as a “good thing”

Oh year, the news:

UnitedHealthcare to cut doctors for Mass. seniors.

“National insurance giant UnitedHealthcare plans to cut up to 700 Massachusetts doctors from its physician network for seniors enrolled in its private Medicare plan as a way to control costs, according to company officials.

For elderly patients enrolled in the plan, the cuts mean they will have to find a new doctor or eventually switch to a new health plan that covers their current doctor.”

And of COURSE, we hear the faux outrage from Democrats who can’t stand the idea that the private sector providers are merely following the Law  – the LAW that they themselves created!  Or is it more of the idea of “Oh crap, I should have read the bill” combined with “I’m gonna lose!” It was well known that Medicare and Medicare Advantage were going to be part of the treasure chest to be robbed to fund Obamacare, so why the beef?

“This phenomenon is nationwide and needs to be addressed,” Senator Richard Blumenthal, a Connecticut Democrat, said in an interview. “I’m reviewing possible legislation that would prevent this kind of draconian discharge of providers from networks serving Medicare Advantage patients

…Representative Rosa DeLauro, another Connecticut Democrat, said she plans to introduce in the coming weeks the Medicare Advantage Participant Bill of Rights Act that would prohibit Medicare Advantage plans from dropping doctors at any time during the year without cause.

Are you listening, US Senator Jeanne Shaheen, US Congressman Carol Shea-Porter (and US Congressman Annie Kuster for supporting Obamacare) ???  You did the votes that passed this!

I’m betting that Brown would be as combative over this as he was with the GONH meeting attendees – but this is what happens when you make it clear that a prime reason for running is to be reaching across the aisle again (like he did with Dodd-Frank which allows the US Government to spy on ALL of our financial transactions)?
