Hilarious! You know, the posts almost write themselves:
@ourstateproject Looks like it's the Granitestaters versus the Freestaters. Small Government versus No Government!

But of COURSE, if your vision of Government is that it must be in charge of everything as Progressives believe, a pronouncement that they are for “small government” is relative. That is to say, from 0 – 100 (anarchy to Totalitarianism), Progressives will never countenance anything less than a 90. Heck, they aren’t satisfied with a 90 – why else would most of their bills, both here in NH and in DC, be written in ways that EXTEND the reach of Government? Yes, while some of the FSPers would be quite happy to be without government, the vast majority of the FreeStaters I know only want a much lighter foot print – do the minimums necessary to fulfill a limited “Proper Role of Government” at each level, and let Citizens then take care of the rest (we ARE a pretty capable bunch, much to the surprise of Progressives who act like we all should be on the short bus).
Small Government indeed. If we actually had such (with a low tax load to boot), they’d probably go catatonic…
Oh, and for this small outpost of the “Really Based Community”, there’s this – you yourselves GraniteStaters and we know that both Zandra Rice-Hawkins and Cynthia Chase are relatively new transplants – how come you get to discriminate against some Free Staters that have been here longer?
Methinks we are going to have fun with these ones…
