Hiding VA Waiting Lists Probably Goes All The Way To The Top

VAEarly on in the fight against the government takeover of Health Care (Health Insurance/ObamaCare) the VA was frequently used as an example of what could inevitably happen.  While the VA hospitals are a great idea, in practice, they are like any other government-run entity.  The private sector could do much better for less.  And we predicted, as did many others, that the wait lists for services, and death panels–which is what the wait list becomes after so-and-so decided who gets care when and who does not (for whatever reason)–would follow.

I’m not saying the wait list exists as a result of intended malice it is just a feature of government-run everything.  So the best hope you have of getting better is to know someone inside who might help you cut the line.  (In other Banana Republics the best way to cut the line is known as a bribe, and the best way for public servants to better their lifestyles is to take them.)

So picture it.  You’ve got government-run healthcare in the form of the VA, and you are pushing a nationwide, government-run, health care program.   Your opponents are warning about wait times, people dying on waiting lists, poor care, and lousy service.  Does the same administration that lied about deaths caused by  guns they gave to Mexican drug lords, or the murder of Americans in Benghazi, admit the VA has death panels in the form of waiting lists (and that what ObamaCare has in store for you) or does it double-down to ensure that the general public does not find out?

Evey VA Hospital in the nation probably has a waiting list, and vets have probably died waiting.  And that is what is in store for every American who doesn’t know someone or can’t afford to bribe someone, somewhere down the ObamaCare road.

So my next question is this.  Would the Obama Administration cherry pick waiting list candidates to include those they deemed more likely to go on public shooting sprees to advance their anti-gun agenda?  It wouldn’t surprise me if they did.
