So, he’s more of a “free rider” than Sandra??

That would be the girl made famous when Rush Limbaugh called her “a slut” when she was all up in arms that society should be providing her free contraceptives (and yes, I used the diminutive because it is clear that she willingly didn’t want to be self-sufficient – the hallmark of immature children that don’t know any better).  But when I saw this, my eyes just rolled:

Sandra and I have been together for a decade… but this Thursday is her first birthday as my WIFE. I want Sandra to know how much she’s loved. Not just by me, but by all of her supporters across the country who stand with her. Will you join me in wishing her a happy birthday? Thank you for helping make this Sandra’s best birthday ever! — Adam

RIIIGHT. Nothing says “You love me by sending me money”.  Ten years.  Which means the entire time she was kvetching how bad American society was for not giving her the contraceptives of her choice (daily, monthly, whatever), this dude was sitting back and acting like he didn’t have to provide for  her at all for his pleasure?  How Progressive is that?  Isn’t that just sweet of him: “I love her, I sleep with her, but I ain’t gonna go to the local store and use my own money for “her choice”?  Some catch.

But that seems to be the Progressive way – I can’t be happy until you all take care of all of my life’s needs.  After all, the Progressive definition of Freedom is really Freedom From Want – and under that definition, nothing says Freedom like free birth control, doesn’t it?  Great pair, those two – a girl with her boy (the diminutive mode on purpose here, too, if you were wondering).  For nothing says “I’m a boy” like the realization that “I don’t have to provide for my urges or her needs”.

Progressivism: part of means “never having to be responsible for me or my family – we just force everyone else to do so”.
