Signs The Orange One Is Untethered from Reality

I used to think the Orange One was just another morally corrupt, empty headed politician seeking self aggrandizement at the expense of his neighbors, constituents and the American people at large. I still do think that. But I also think he’s completely out of touch, not just with his own constituents, and not just with people he’s supposed to lead in his own party and in his own chamber, but with reality.   He’s delusional, frighteningly so, given his position.

He recently made a few comments in an interview that I’ll touch on here that I believe make one question his mental capacity to serve.

He stated the following with regards to fellow his Republicans in the House. I assume he’s talking about the principled conservatives, and there are some.  Boehner the Orange  said:

“Here’s the attitude. Ohhhh. Don’t make me do this. Ohhhh. This is too hard,” …“We get elected to make choices. We get elected to solve problems and it’s remarkable to me how many of my colleagues just don’t want to … They’ll take the path of least resistance.”

Mocking conservatives for not making the hard choices.  This from a man whose record on making tough choices is rather thin.  Is evidence he has a distorted and inflated image of himself. He’s been in office for 23 years, over which the government has grown. Did that take hard choices or just going along to get along? I think the latter too. He’s been in leadership position for 4 year and has been rolled more times by Obama than the joints Obama rolled in his “choom gang” days–and that’s saying something considering he’s the Commander in Cheech.

But that’s not all, there is more evidence to support the idea that there’s something more disturbing in his Orange Dome.

In the same interview where he mocked the conservatives, the guy applauded himself for cutting $2T over the next 10 years. That sounds good doesn’t it. Hooray $2.4T over 10 years! Happy days are here again right? Well maybe to the delusional, but not to those living beneath the blue sky, not the orange one. According to CBO, “Deficits Are Projected to Decline Through 2015 but Rise Thereafter, Further Boosting Federal Debt”. See the problem there. He actually believes he accomplished something and is so convinced of it, that he’s giddy about it.  But in reality he’s celebrating vapor, nothingness. An ineffectual achievement is not an achievement in reality, because it has no effect in the real world.

When you’re speeding towards a cliff at a 130mph, it’s meaningless if you slow to 120 mph. Nothing will change, the end result is the same. You careen off the edge hurtling outward, then plunge downward, dropping like the labor force participation rate in an Obama economy.  The last thing you see is the ground racing towards you, until your skull is crushed on impact, splattering gray matter and splintered bone in all directions. That’s nothing to applaud. The only way to avoid the impact is to turn. That’s the hard choice. That’s when the guts and balls are needed. Applauding staying on course to financial doom seems indicative of severe mental health issues. As if he’s unaware of the times he’s living in and the state of the country.  He’s delusional.

More evidence came later in the article–and I can’t help hoping that he’s joking– where he again boasts. This time about the budget just passed by the house just before Easter that he says gets rid of the debt…wait for it… in 75 years. Yes, seventy five years. The Orange Faux tan must have leached into his system and contaminated his brain because he actually said:

You can in fact over a period of time pay off the debt. Our budget passed right before Easter is a 75-year plan.

Is it possible that he is so inept, so steeped in self-delusion and drunk on ignorance that he actually believes that any budget in our government can be adhered to for 75 years? Really? They can’t manage to adhere to the same budget from one year to the next. Remember Ryan detonating the sequestration? That was passed maybe what, the year before? Boehner is beyond mockery, he’s downright dangerously stupid, or critically insane.

Also in the same interview where he mocked conservatives for not making hard choices, there was this gem on ObamaCare:

(To) repeal Obamacare … isn’t the answer. The answer is repeal and replace. The challenge is that Obamacare is the law of the land.

Does that sound familiar? Yes it does. It’s a Democrat talking point. He uses a Democrat talking point that Obamacare is the law of the land, the same way the Democrats do. With a palms up shrug saying, “What can you do, it’s the law of the land”. Hint to Johnny Orange: This is where you make the hard choices you moron.

The whole idea of a legislature is to make laws and oversee the executive. Making laws can and often affect existing laws. That’s the point.  Laws are not set in stone, they are changed, are repealed, are replaced etc. He’s the leader of a legislating institution and this understanding escapes him?  Sometimes, Johnny, it means putting on your big boy pants and doing the hard work. Making the hard choices.

You know maybe when he looks into the mirror he doesn’t appear orange. He appears with a normal, natural pigmentation. That because through his eyes the entire world is distorted. Picture Alice in Wonderland colliding with the dripping clocks of Salvador Dali and the brutal truncheons of Orwell’s O’Brien appear simply as flaccid, over-cooked spaghetti, like his spine. Sure it’s interesting to him, but downright scarey to the rest of us. A man with his disease is unfit to serve. Go J.D.Winteregg. Please consider contributing to his campaign against the Orange One.
