Mike Pence Looking Strong For 2016

MikePencePence's-Indiana I’ve written about Mike Pence before: About how I’ve admired his humility and his principled voting record, about his gravitas and speaking ability, and how he carries himself with the dignity becoming of a Presidential contender.

In my prior article, I mentioned his stellar record with the Center for Individual Freedom (CFIF), and, it turns out, with the ACU too. I referenced a speech he gave at Hillsdale College in 2010 on the Constitution and the Presidency – Not about himself and the presidency, but about the proper respect for the job, and the faithful execution of the duties (it was quite apparent that Obama didn’t measure up).

As 2011 rolled along, it seemed Pence was everywhere, and it was easy to imagine him launching his own run for president, but he took a different path. Deciding that he could be more effective for his beloved Indiana as governor, he ran for, and took the governorship, then set about practicing what he preached:

Indiana-Flag Pro Life, Pro Gun, Pro Liberty, Pro School Choice, Pro States Rights, Pro Local Healthcare choices, and Anti Tax. The graphic above captures part of his record, to which we add: $2Bn rainy day fund, further tax reductions committed to law for the next SEVEN years, the lowest unemployment rate in the Midwest, new protections for gun owners – listen to this segment with Chris Wallace:

Talks about peace through strength, like Reagan, too – more interested in deterring aggression than getting into a fight.

This weekend, the NRA came to town (Indianapolis), and Pence was there to welcome the crowds with a rousing speech – where, after the obligatory ‘salesman in chief for Indiana’ pitch, Pence made a strong case for individual rights and Federalism – the states are the places the reforms will come from – enjoy:

Impressive.

And finally, a flashback to the grooveyard of forgotten favorites – Pence at Hillsdale, and listen carefully to the introducing student enumerate Pence’s principled congressionsal record:
