To those who believe that courts are infallible, or that they are the final arbiter of laws, think again. Reference Plessy v. Ferguson, Dred Scott v. Sandford, and Roe v. Wade. Courts make mistakes – huge mistakes – all of which serve to underscore the fact that we are a Constitutional Republic, not a judicial oligarchy or a democracy. Recognizing the distinctions between, and the powers of government (and those reserved to the people) under, each of these 3 types of government, is critical to preserving freedom for future generations.
The daughter of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy wrote a letter explaining her dad’s refusal to follow BLM direction or federal court orders. After reading that letter, I trust her far beyond any government lawyer, agent, judge, bureaucrat or elected official – ANY. The Government and its attorneys have cheated and stolen much from many during the course of our history. They purport to act with the force of law, but in fact act with the force of intimidation, regardless of the constitutionality of the law they are “enforcing”. That makes their actions a violation of the founding principles of this nation. George Washington, Samuel Adams, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine, and all the Founding Fathers broke “the law.” They gave us the most incredible opportunity in the history of the world, defined and shaped by the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, and based on Christian theology. You don’t have to like these facts. But they are facts.
We are losing our freedom because we have drifted (or walked away from) the two most challenging aspects of citizenship in this faltering republic – respecting God as the author of all life, and holding government accountable to the people. Instead, people unthinkingly accept government without question or challenge, as it gradually steals the future from generations not yet even born. Everything happening around us is NOT happening in a vacuum. The “fundamental transformation” promised by this president is being done with sleight-of-hand, illegally and unconstitutionally, and with the permission and assistance of Congress and the Courts.
Cliven Bundy’s situation in Nevada is the tip of the iceberg; the iceberg was spotlighted because he chose to stand up to laws which violate not only our natural rights, but the Constitution upon which YOUR freedom depends. Because you’re not a rancher does not mean your property rights are not under attack. Research the powers you have voted to give your Conservation Commission and your Planning and Zoning Boards, and the tyranny they are exercising against many people who pay both the mortgage and the taxes on the property they own. Those bodies are specifically referred to in a document called “Agenda 21,” which lays out the structure and methods of achieving a single world government. This document and everything in it is anathema to our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution and our freedom. It is toxic to (1) individual freedom; against (2) individual property rights; and lethal to (3) free enterprise – the 3 underpinnings of American life. It is cunningly draped in such terms as “social justice” – a concept that is subverted and perverted by the socialist and communist elitists who wrote Agenda 21, and their supporters – including Republican and Democrats alike – presidents, congressmen and judges.
About that iceberg? It’s H U G E. Everywhere. Government at every level is out of control. Cliven Bundy, Justina Pelletier, and Steve Forster are all under assault by federal, state and local governments, respectively. The ultimate defense can no longer be found in the legislative process or the courts. It can only be mounted by individual citizens who join ranks in deference to Almighty God and the liberty He –and He alone – gave every human being. And like our forefathers, we must stand against the forces of tyranny that seek to destroy not only our nation, but also our souls and our humanity.
“You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.”
