Well, this isn’t going to help much, proving that enrolling is not actually getting insurance (and not getting care). Big Government:
- “Millions of people without health insurance do not have bank accounts to pay for their plans, including one-quarter of those who qualify for Obamacare subsidies, reports the Washington Post. The startling statistic comes from Jackson Hewitt and raises growing concerns over whether those who applied for Obamacare will make their premium payments. “Research shows that millions of uninsured people don’t have bank accounts–rates are particularly high among minority groups–which could challenge their ability to pay for new coverage”
Another reason why one should not trust those that set up these command and control systems – most of them are middle to upper middle class folks that take it as “an invisible part of life” that people have bank accounts (“well of COURSE I have one – how would I pay my bills?”). So much for thinking like a poorer person for whom having a bank account just doesn’t pay (or worse, with the distortions by the Feds, now would COST them money for having one). Wonder if that’s the reason for this (if you haven’t heard it already):
- Over half of the 221,604 Georgia Obamacare “enrollees” the Obama administration claims as enrollments have not paid for their plans, thereby leaving them still uninsured. Georgia Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens says only 107,581 Georgians have paid for coverage.
And this data point for free; remember when we were lied to and told this would HELP the deficit by President Obama?
- Obamacare will cost U.S. taxpayers $2.6 trillion over the next 10 years.
