New Low – Democrats Protest 100 Million Dollar Private Donation to NY City Hospital

Democrats ignore the hundreds of millions the Koch brothers give to charity every year, to the arts, and large donations to non-political purposes, preferring to focus on their political giving as a locus around which to organize left-wing hate.

That “locus” has dropped to new lows.  Unions, who spend a lot more than the Koch brothers on campaigns, are protesting the expansion of New York Presbyterian Hospital.  It is a large expansion, made possible primarily by the $100 million dollar donation of David H. Koch.

If Obama gave 100 Million to a Hospital it would be advertised globally as mana from heaven.  He’d be up for another Nobel Prize.  a Koch gives that and more, and even though this donation will create more of those “good paying union jobs” the unions and Progressives are protesting.

[T]he New York State Nurses’ Association, the NAACP New York State Conference, and SEIU Local 1199, among others, … marched on the soon-to-be-built David H. Koch Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, which was funded in part by a $100 million donation from the man one prominent liberal recently predicted would go down in history as a “famously evil person.”

Progressive drones are notoriously narrow-minded and prejudiced–which is how the Democrat leadership likes them–and this is an excellent example, for more reasons than they hypocrisy of unions protesting a hospital expansion that will create union jobs.

koch protest posterThe liberals’ anti-health care protest was timed to coincide with International Women’s Day. It was organized in part by Jennifer Flynn Walker, who created this graphic for a Facebook page: —–>

That’s mostly the usual anti-Koch BS, but the lead item is curious: “Koch funds…the war on women’s reproductive rights.” Actually, the Koch brothers have never taken a position on abortion. To the extent that the libertarian organizations they support have weighed in on the issue, most of them are likely pro-abortion. Also, Mrs. Flynn Walker is herself a lesbian activist whose gay wedding was celebrated in the New York Times. Does she know that David Koch is a supporter of gay marriage? Perhaps not. (emphasis mine)

They do not know and do not care.  They have been told who to hate, and they will, the same way they hate Republicans who are women, black, gay, or wronged by the system, because they have no principles only the blind pursuit of political power.
