Jeanne Shaheen is really calling Scott Brown Obscene? Forked Tongue!

Jeanne Shaheen Wicked WitchAh yes, that VAUNTED Democrat value called “Civility”!  Jeanne Shaheen called for it here:

…During an informal bipartisan get-together we hosted earlier this week for our women colleagues in the Senate, there was unanimous agreement that members of both parties need to put politics aside and act in the best interests of our country….Washington could take a lesson from our state’s long, proud tradition of bipartisanship and compromise.

And here – an award given to Jeanne Shaheen for “Civility”:

“…This year we’re going to honor a moment in time when 20 women in the Senate at very difficult and challenging moment in American politics, a time when incivility was reigning, got together and said enough and set a wonderful example for us and particularly for young people,” says Allegheny College President Jim Mullen…The 20 women in the Senate aren’t less partisan than their colleagues; they simply shy away from personal attacks and make a point of being civil in their dealings.

Civility?  Then how do you explain that Jeanne Shaheen would call Scott Brown “obscene” for just getting in the race?  Far be it for me to defend Brown, but I can call Shaheen two faced for this campaign email sent out minutes after he announced he was starting an exploratory campaign given the above:

Dear Skip,

Scott Brown just made it official: He’s running. Karl Rove’s already dropped $652,007 on new attack ads.

So you can see the easy connection between “obscene” and “Scott Brown”.  And just look at the way Shaheen’s spokesgal tries to make the connection between Brown and uber-bogeyman Rove – and if it would make any difference to Rove that Brown was in the race (methinks it’s just the presence of Shaheen on the campaign trail that may trigger some of that money coming here).

I just got out of an emergency finance meeting, and here’s the upshot: These next 30 hours are make-or-break for our campaign – and for our Democratic majority in the Senate.

Make or break? Oh please, Oh Please make that a true statement!  And at the end of that time, may it be abject sorrow that says “I’m broken”.

Rove, the Kochs and Brown’s other shadowy special interest backers look at Brown and see the chance to pick up a seat in a purple state. They’re prepared to spend obscene amounts of money for a Republican Senate – bought, paid for and ready to roll back all our progress.

As opposed to the shadowy union front groups, the Billionaire Climate Fear Monger (is that ass really wearing your daughter’s products? Can we consider THAT Obscene?), the George Soros money, et al?  And your version of progress – I guess that means that you are perfectly fine giving away your Senatorial reason d’etre by handing away your Branch’s power to His Unitary and Imperial Kingship Obama (you DID vote for Obamacare that rather than creating law, provided the on-ramp for the Executive Branch to do as it wants – THAT’S Obscene!)?

So we need Democrats like you – all across the country – to come together now to help us raise $70,361 before midnight Saturday. It’s the only chance we have to defend the Senate against the avalanche of Big Oil, Big Bank, and other secret corporate cash headed our way.

Big Oil?  Really, you send out a campaign fund raising email and not think we can’t see the oil leaking out of your purse? But tell me, for the sake of civility and actual truth, is it REALLY your one and only chance to save the Senate from the oil in your purse – and it will only cost $70K to buy the entire Senate?  Really?  Promise?

That’s $2,345 an hour – we can’t do it without your immediate help.

Click here to contribute $5 or more to Jeanne now. The showdown for the Senate starts here in New Hampshire.
Goal: $150k in 48 hours. Defeat Scott Brown to save the Democratic Senate. Contribute.

Thanks so much – we really can’t do this without you.

Kari

Thanks, Jeanne Shaheen and Kari Thurman, for SUCH a civil thought.  Obscene – is its synonym hypocrisy?  Really, what is Obscene is that Shaheen has to reduce herself (or is that raise herself up?  There’s a reason why Billy has the rep he does) to the emotional appeal – can she even debate on the issues?
