Fifty-Fifty Brown - Granite Grok

Fifty-Fifty Brown

“I used to be indecisive but now I am not quite sure.”  —Tommy Cooper

scott-brown-serving-the-Kool-AidAnd George Canning once quipped, “Indecision and delays are the parents of failure.” The Establishment wing of Republican party has now spiraled down into the abyss of emulating liberal, progressive Democrats in some if not the majority of their votes. New Hampshire is now at a crossroad and we see clearly where that is headed.

Scott Brown is running. Make no mistake about it. And the RINO’s and establishment are rallying to his side. “He can beat Shaheen!” goes the rallying cry. Meh! Remember when we were told, “Vote for Romney! He is the only candidate who can beat Obama!”? Yeah, Good times….And the elephant has forgotten…or thinks we have forgotten.

Meanwhile Scott Brown stumped yesterday in Portsmouth telling the Seacoast Online how he voted with Democrats fifty percent of the time and with Republicans fifty percent of the time. How does he characterize his economy-ruining Dodd-Frank vote?

So what is different this time? Well…Nothing…and Everything…Confused? Good! the template works!  Nothing has changed because the same old folks are out there declaring Brown can beat Shaheen and has a “R” next to his name so we sould vote for him.  And everything has changed because people like me who held our noses and voted for McCain….Romney….Bass….now have said, enough is enough and we will not support Scott Brown.  Nothing has changed in the respect that establishment Republicans are spewing invectives, hyperbole and engaging in pedestrian name calling because of that decision and everything has changed because anti-brown forces will be unmoved. Nothing has changed because the GOP is eschewing the “extreme Right Wing” and the “conservatives.”

Just last night I was in the cross hairs of one such vitriolic RINO bidder who accused me of being a democratic ringer, having mental problems, and supporting Shaheen. Still, no thank you to that Kool-Aid.

The Republican Party is broken…indistinguishable from the progressive Democrat party. I argue the party is dead. its all about 20-somethings and 30-somethings becoming paid operatives and less focused on principles. It is about status and chiefs and indians and perceived faux power…its about dismissing with a wink and a nod, the party platform, if not completely abandoning it.

Time to destroy it and start over.
