The New Hampshire Senate voted to pass SB367 (with 4 Republicans–Boutin, Odell, Stiles, and Rausch). SB 367 is a hike in the gas tax that is estimated to extract an additional 31 million dollars per year from New Hampshire Families and small business owners. Business owners will have to eat the increase or pass it on in the cost of goods and services. There is some speculation as to how much, if any of this 31 million per year will actually be used to address the fear-mongered roads and bridges problem used to justify these sorts of increases.
Then there is SB374, which is my favorite, because it passed in the same week that we got news about a young man who is going on trial for committing rape in Hanover, New Hampshire.
SB374 creates a study committee to address the definition of “domicile” and “residency” in New Hampshire Statute.
Parker Gilbert, according to the NH AG, is from London, England. The AG did not, however, make note that Parker Gilbert registered and voted in Hanover, New Hampshire.
People from England voting in New Hampshire hints at the possibility that there is some confusion about the definition of “domicile” and “residency” in the Granite State. But a majority of Senate Democrats, who happen to be significant beneficiaries of confusing definitions, were not interested in studying a problem that lets students from other countries steal votes in New Hampshire.
Only Two Democrats in the state Senate voted in favor of the study committee. (Hosmer and Woodburn)

As we have demonstrated here time and again, a majority of New Hampshire Democrats don’t care where the votes come from as long as they are cast for Ruling Class Democrats.
And in places like Hanover, New Hampshire, they are.
