Bedford School District Survey For Students Age 9 to 11

This is interesting.  And Hat Tip to Rich Girard for prying it out of the Bedford School district, and Ann Marie Banfield for sharing.  It is a survey for ages 9 to 11 and is called the  DAP_Preteen Sample Survey.

It asks your children to rate 58 statements from between “not at all” to “Almost always.”  The important point here is that Taxpayers are paying for this stuff.

Here’s a screen grab of the PDF.  (Read Superintendent Tim Mays remarks to Rich with regard to the survey on the jump)

Here you go. We sought and received permission from the Search Institute in order to share it. This survey is for students ages 9-11. Students in grades 3and 4 must have their parents approve their participation in the survey, hence the letter from Principal Ilg. The information from those students who participate is being used by our district to determine the degree to which we meet our District’s Mission statement, specifically, “…. to develop a community of learner who are intellectually curious, resourceful, and respectful of self and others.” The District’s Mission Statement is attached as well.

While this sample form has a space for the student’s name, we will not be using the form, but an anonymous computer survey collector. All student information will be confidential.
