What Some Senate Republicans Want For New Hampshire

medicade- Looks refreshing, but always comes back to haunt you later“Those arrested include operators of home care agencies, operators of nurse staffing agencies, office workers and personal care assistants. One woman is accused of bilking taxpayers out of $75 million.”

Fraud is a major factor in Medicaid.  Expanding Medicaid will only expand the fraud.   The irony in this is that Medicaid expansion is part of ObamaCare and ObamaCare has produced an up-swell in the sorts of local clinics and home health care concerns that are most likely to engage in Medicaid Fraud.

25 charged in largest health care fraud bust in D.C. history, feds say

“This investigation has revealed that Medicaid fraud in the District of Columbia is at epidemic levels,” said U.S. Attorney Ronald Machen. “This fraud diverts precious taxpayer dollars, drives up the cost of health care, and jeopardizes the strength of a program that serves the most vulnerable members of our society.”

Investigators uncovered numerous and separate schemes involving fraud, kickbacks, and false billings in the growing field of home care services for D.C. Medicaid patients.

Medicaid, like most government programs, is designed to be abused.   So will the full NH Senate (rumored to be controlled by Republicans, though I’m not seeing it) vote to expand Medicaid in NH?

They want to.  They say they plan to.

Now, Democrats, they don’t care about the fraud, not really.  It is a price they are willing to make us pay for the glory of their centrally planned (in this case) health care system.  But Republicans?  Have they become so desperate and sunk so low, have so abandoned even a facade of principle, that they will willingly waste millions of taxpayer dollars to grow a sub-par excuse for a taxpayer funded health care plan like Medicaid, just so it can then throw away millions more of their dollars through waste, fraud, and abuse?

I have not read their compromise bill.  What section says what percentage of the ObamaCare bribe pays for all the fraud?

How much are the feds ponying up to pay for Expanded oversight and enforcement to deal with the expanded fraud?

I hope they are not relying on the NH AG’s office to do any of that?  You might as well just burn some money and have the NH House dance widdershins while the  state senate commission on ending Expanded Medicaid Fraud consults the goat entrails for a premonition about where the fraud will occur next.

Wait.  I know.  The fraud will be different in New Hampshire.  We won’t have that here.  Just like the Republican deal has an expiration date and we’ll have no problem backing out when the Feds renege on their part of the plan to pay 100% and then 90% with money borrowed from China at who knows what kind of soon to be rising interest rates, squeezed from the teats of New Hampshire taxpayers, by the unrelenting Federal milk-maids at the IRS,  before it is laundered back to the Granite State as that mystical and entrancing “free money” that has the State Senate GOP leadership so starry-eyed.

Free money is so dreamy.  Ask any progressive Democrat, oh, and now certain NH Republicans.

Should we expect Morse, Bradley, Odell, Stiles, et al to stand shoulder to shoulder in years to come with the veteran left-wingers who wont fight to keep the tax money here in the first place, but they’ll sure as heck fight to try and get some of it back?  It’s not that hard to picture anymore is it?

So we’re embracing a plan based on a “guarantee” from our broke-crazy Uncle Sam, who just happens to be 17 trillion in debt.  (Just trust us.  He’ll pay.., or you will.)

A plan that has no provision for the costs associated with waste, fraud, and abuse inherent in the unexpanded version of Medicaid, but likley to explode when the siren song of “free money” starts pouring in.  If NH State Senate Republicans aren’t immune, who is?

You know, Democrats engage in this nonsense for political power.   They do it to expand the centrally planned state.  It’s who they are.  So are Republicans just joining in their dance or are they just that stupid?

And whichever it is, don’t we deserve better?
