The Non-Objective Progressive masks slips in the media: “Reprehensive Party of FL”

From Big Journalism:

Reprehensive Party of Florida“NBC does it again, this time through a Miami affiliate that broadcast a graphic (see above) that read: “Reprehensive Party of Florida.” You have to ask yourself what kind of culture there is at NBC News that makes staffers believe that dehumanizing Republicans in this way is okay. This isn’t a one-off. It is a troubling pattern that just never stops.”

Yes, the “objective” journalism shows it isn’t.  Oh, they say the words, but after years of watching, the slanting against Conservatism is revealed by the framing of stories and packages, the stacking of the deck in having pro- and con- voices weighing in, and the stories that get no coverage at all.  Frankly, think of them as the Obama equivalent in journalism – “faithfully executing” the law the stories that advance an ideology and ignore the others.

It’s often not much better in the Educational-Industrial Complex where the taxpayer supported denizens seem to have fallen in line with the Democrat / Progressive knee-jerk reactions to political outlooks that vary from their MotherShip – this from my local issues blog, GilfordGrok (once again), when voting was conducted at our middle school:

A teacher came over with her kids and talked about what was going on. One of the kids (a younger one) pointed to a sign next to Greg. It was a Jeb Bradley sign, Republican candidate for NH’s First Congressional District and the kid asked “What is that”?

Greg said he was horrified at the teacher’s “He is running for Congress. He is a Republican – and a bad man. We don’t want him.”

This is the purpose of Public Education?  Of course, dearie, most conservatives are against that schools should be inculcating our sons and daughters with values that run counter to our own.  And you wonder when we complain bitterly when we find these things out?  And then opt our kids out of your outmoded Early Industrial Revolution methodology and Union controlled education system?  That Conservatives are now gunning (pun intended) more and more for school choice, Charter Schools, hybrid schools, online schools, and homeschooling?

After all, by what right are you entitled to our tax monies?  Especially when we see fad after fad, each heralded as being “THE ANSWER” to failing schools and failing test grades – and none of them work (except to spend more and more money)?
