The GOP Establishment: Craven Wussies, Really Dumb, or Just Democrats?

“Cossetted, craven, wussies or just contemptible charlatans?” That’s how I initially started this post. But things changed as I was writing it.

I’ve been mostly absent from my perch here at the Grok due to other pressing responsibilities, but this past week, against the backdrop of the previous week, just made me wretch and I need to sound off. And so I shall.

It’s becoming more and more difficult to find an elegant way to say some things, so I’ll drop the multi-syllabics and drop into more modest vernacular.

John Boehner sucks. Eric Cantor sucks. Jeb Bradley sucks. Chuck Morse sucks. The GOP “leadership” blows, within New Hampshire and without. That’s right sucking and blowing. That’s their skill. The adroit practice of inhaling and exhaling vacuous rhetoric. And the steamy motes flitting in and out in their putrescent tainted breath is simply anything that will further their political ambitions. They’re a self-serving bunch with principles and values that go no higher nor further than the next election or next contribution.

They’re swine. No, sheep.

Anyone remember this sheep in the wolf’s clothing remark last December? Just after pushing his budget deal that reigned in spending–using Washington’s definition of “reigned in” which really means the opposite?

“We as a caucus, along with our Senate counterparts, are going to meet and discuss what it is we want to get out of the debt limit,” Ryan said on Fox News Sunday. “We don’t want nothing out of this debt limit. We’re going to decide what it is we can accomplish out of this debt-limit fight.”

Turns out they decided what they can accomplish out of the debt-limit fight. A giant nothing. Cipher. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Nothing was accomplished. The “leadership” told us to hold our powder and save it for the debt limit fight just after they lampooned those in their own party for standing up and fighting against ObamaCare.

By the way, does that ever happen in the Democrat party? When have you ever, ever heard a Democrat slamming one of their own the way Wannabe-Orange et al. slammed the conservatives late last year?

Answer: Never.

For crying out loud, Democrats had a mayor of San Diego grope and harrass female staffers and the “defenders” of women party in their pretend “War on Woman” salvo took a wide and protracted interest in anything other than the groper in San Diego, until charges were finally leveled.

And what does “our side” do?

Well if you try to stop a “law” about to be foisted on a populace that vastly doesn’t want it, you’ll be criticized from your own party. You’re a buffoon. A loon. You don’t know what you’re doing. (Translation: fall in line)

You want to stand up and decry the NSA’s 4th Amendment obliteration, you’ll hear from a sponge spined insouciant New Yorker in your own party saying your crazy and paranoid.

Many in the GOP slam conservatives in their own party when it benefits them to do so, meaning it gives them political cover; they can gain favor from the other unprincipled. It’s especially galling when it comes from the Orange One and his minions, because it’s the conservatives who are the ones that made it possible for the Orange One to become Speaker in the first place.

The guys a lout. No, I amend that. He, they, are just dumb. They are.

Or just conniving Democrats.

Think about it. They knew about the debt limit for at least six months and in that time they couldn’t figure out a way to accomplish something. Anything?

And who was their opposition? A popular party shepherding a thriving economy with a populace singing “Happy Days Are Here Again”? Hardly.

We are $17,000,000,000,000 in debt; we have ObamaCare; we have a population becoming increasingly aware that we have an enormous bureaucracy festooned with sinecures and draped with political bureaucrats who use the truncheons of the State against their political enemies and a vast swamp of unnavigable regulations that enables them to do so; we’re in the longest post recession recovery in history; we have the lowest labor participation rate in 40 years; there are the scandals: IRS abuses, Associated Press, the bungling incompetence that enabled the murder of an American Ambassador in over 30 years. Etc etc etc. I can go on, as I suspect you can to.

Conclusion: things are not good.

Yet, the GOP in D.C. got rolled by the opposition who is overseeing all the goodness just mentioned. They refuse to fight because they are either unable (read: cravenly dumb) or unwilling (read: self serving charlatan).

What was the Orange One’s response to completely collapsing on the Debt Deal?

“You’re not even going to clap for me for getting this monkey off of our backs?” he implored, drawing applause from many of his rank-and-file members, still loyal to the embattled House figurehead.

What a moron.

And this thick headed pusillanimity is not confined to the cesspool on the Potomac either. A few weeks back the NH GOP controlled Senate voted to expand Medicaid. Yeah, that’s going to work out great. Nice way to slough off your principles, oh yea, forgot you don’t have any.

Oh and who does the NH GOP have running for the Senate this year? Anyone? Anyone? Has anyone heard anything about a major candidate? If you pay attention to the national media, a transplant carpetbagger anti-second Amendment man who just moved to NH a few months back and “donated” $10k to the NHGOP, Scott Big Gov Brown is the odds on favorite. Great! I got the bumper sticker:

“Conservatives got you down? Vote Scott Brown”

“Want to Leave Town? Vote Scott Brown”

“Don’t want to stick around? Vote Scott Brown”

That these clowns can be out maneuvered over and over again, means they are really really dumb, contemptibly craven, or simply Democrats.  You decide.
