Notice that NH State Senator Chuck Morse can't even bring himself to say what he is doing? - Granite Grok

Notice that NH State Senator Chuck Morse can’t even bring himself to say what he is doing?

Two simple words that would have given a very clear message as to what this Republican is doing – can you catch what those two words are?

(H/T: RLCNH)

OK, if you missed them, here’s the transcript that I just did (and you really want to read the commentary too):

Good afternoon Mr. Chairman and the members of the Committee. I am here with Senator Larson to ask permission to introduce a late bill relative to acess to private health insurance coverage. With your permission, we will ask OLS to begin drafting a bill that we believe accomplishes our shared goals of increasing access to private insurance coverage to low income New Hampshire residents while protecting our state’s taxpayers.

Since November of last year, senators have continued to meet in good faith and a good faith effort to resolve the outstanding questions remaining from the Special session. As a result of those productive discussions, we are agreed to a framework for a bill that represents a truly bipartisan compromise. Under that framework, we will use Federal funds to increase access to the private health insurance for low income New Hampshire families.

For the record, the Committee Chair is NH State Senator Russell Prescott.

Can you say “Medicaid Expansion“?  How politically correct to use the phrase “access to private insurance coverage to low income New Hampshire residents” is that?  Not even to have the courage of his politics to stand up and proudly say:

I have agreed with the Democrats to institute Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion here in NH

For that is EXACTLY what he just did (and again, go back here to see how egregious he and NH State Senator Jeb Bradley and Nancy stiles were in breaking LOTS of planks in the Republican Platform).  Oh, that OTHER phrase so tritely passed over – The Lie of the Day, that Tinkerbell stance (lots of tinkling, not a lot of semantics):

while protecting our state’s taxpayers

Really?  Last time I looked, most of State’s taxpayers are ALSO paying into that pot of Federal funds that you implied are “free”.  How is this protecting people like me, a Federal taxpayer, Senator?  Do you really believe that we are just going to tinkle over those words believing we’d get a free ride?  Or that we wouldn’t realize that to give others a free ride, others have to have their money taken from them?  I remind you, having to pay more taxes involuntarily is not an act of Charity as the Democrats hold.  YOU reaching into your pocket is – reaching into mine is not.  This is not a Republican notion, right?

Or are you starting to pander to one of the Democrats’ “identity victim groups” – and in the same fashion that the Democrats do – just bribery by official means?
