“Are you insane?”
Connecticut emigre’ and 2nd Amendment firebrand Judy Aron emailed the NH’s GOP Senators and was kind enough to allow me to cross post it here:
‘Dear GOP Senators: “The plan is also contingent on 100 percent funding from the federal government. That will remain in effect until the end of 2016, at which point federal funding drops to 90 percent. The legislature would then have to reach a new deal to extend coverage.” Are you people serious?? When Federal funding drops below 100% – where will NH get the funding to continue this??? Do you really believe this program will get dropped or scaled back after all these people are added to it? Who is going to tell them (Medicaid recipients) NO after 2016? What legislator is going to say NO then – if you cannot say No now?? Who is going to stop coverage on all the people you are putting on the Medicaid rolls? Will you? Probably not, if you agree to this insanity now. Get real. This is bad for NH! We should not act like Popeye’s Wimpy who says, “I will buy a hamburger today and pay for it next Tuesday”! As a taxpayer in this state – this is going to place an unbelievable burden on us…. and by compromising on this you are ALL saying you support Obamacare. Are you insane??? Are you compromising on this because the scary Granite State Progress (Communists) people are saying nasty things about you? Are you compromising on this because the Democrats are saying you are fiscally irresponsible??? Are you compromising on this because of negative press??? or because they have your picture somewhere on the Internet with a red “X” through it??? Who freaking cares what they say???? Compromise is saying you accept Obamacare. Compromise is saying you agree to higher taxes in 2016. Compromise is saying you will take federal dollars with strings attached. Shame on you if you support this. Do the right thing and Vote NO on SB413!!!! If you support this – I expect a reply and an explanation, whether you are in my district or not – because no matter what district you represent, I will be picking up the tab for this expansion when Federal dollars run out!!!!!”
