"..."liberty" is either an ideology or a gross misrepresentation..." - Granite Grok

“…”liberty” is either an ideology or a gross misrepresentation…”

This morning, I sent the following email to every NH state representative:

In order to protect the liberty of each and every law-abiding citizen in the state of New Hampshire, I urge each of you to read NH RSA 159 , NH RSA 159 B and, in particular, NH RSA 159 D in order to understand the lack of understanding the sponsors of HB 1589  [Universal Background Checks], as amended, have of NH law.  In the committee of origin, less than 5 members of the Committee on Commerce and Consumer Affairs acknowledged they had even passing familiarity with existing statutes.

Your job is to protect the liberty of NH citizens, you(r) job is not to hide behind intellectual sloth or ideology.  Read the statutes, make an informed decision; otherwise, be known for your ignorance.”

'No sale". I wonder if he is for rent?
‘No sale”. I wonder if he is for rent?

I got this response from John Mann, D- Cheshire 2:

There is a yawning chasm of possible positions between “liberty of NH citizens” and “intellectual sloth”.  I would suggest “liberty” is either an ideology or a gross misrepresentation and oversimplification (accidental or otherwise) of what government is for.   I might add that preventing a Columbine would be considered by some to be a protection of the liberty of the victims.

 No sale.

Rarely am I speechless.
