GrokTALK! February 1st, 2014 with Aaron Day, Bill O’Brien, Susan Olsen, and Michael Maharrey

GrokTALK! New Hampshire's Conservative PodcastDespite a few growing pains with the format scheduling change (we will now post the whole program and then 15 min segments for easier digestion), and the introduction of the Live Stream (if you missed it, we will be Live Streaming Weekly now, right here, from 9am to 11am), today’s show was fantastic with Susan Olsen, Aaron Day, Bill O’Brien, and Michael Maharrey from the Tenth Amendment Center.

(see if you can guess how many times I tug at my shirt..(sticky hot in that room)

We start with Skip’s traffic ticket that he just got that morning in Concord–driving to the program, Concord’s parking ticket fetish, trying to ruin main street, and other urban renewal fun at the state capitol and beyond.

Susan Olsen tells us about the hearing on a bill to remove redundant and unaccountable regional planners, the scam, and how the players benefit at our expense if we leave them be.  Ed Nail joins the conversation as well, as we talk about both HB 1573 and SB244 which would pre-criminalize ordinary NH citizens.

Aaron Day, chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus joins us to discuss the grow-government effort to expand Medicaid no matter how bad it is in New Hampshire, as well as why it’s not the solution supporters insist.  Watch for him at your local Republican committee meetings as he continues the Liberty tour around the state to talk about this and other issues.

Speaker Bill O’Brien shares the details of his idea on how to give people more choices when choosing health insurance, how that will make it more affordable and accessible. HB 1541

And Mike Rogers joins us, intermittently, by phone from California in segments three and four.

And Michael Maharrey from the Tenth Amendment Center joins us (who works with Michael Boldin whom I mistakenly describe as the expected guest) to talk about the Center, state sovereignty, some of the nullification bills currently on the docket in other states, as well as those up for consideration in New Hampshire.
