Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers Jason Furman: fewer people will choose to work because of Obamacare

And that is because as you bump up against the Government subsidy levels, one additional dollar of income can result in thousands or tens of thousands of healthcare insurance costs that were formerly paid for – by others with their tax dollars.  Beeler nails it:

beeler-job-lockThe Obama Administration proclaims “Less Job Lock” (staying at a job for its healthcare)!  “More Freedom, More Choice!” – but fails to be fully transparent by not admitting that this new found entitlement Obama derived Freedom  is only possible for some “choose” only by having  many more having to work MORE – or having THEIR standard of living intentionally lowered by having to pay more taxes to pay for those  who have decided to be less self-reliant and more dependent on Government.

Beeler gets it right – we will see the fruits of the ACORN / Obama Cloward-Piven strategy of crashing our American system as more and more choose to opt out of helping to propel the boat and accept the lesser (but Free!) place in the barge.  Obama’s Administration is disincentivizing one of America’s traditional strengths – hard work, self- sufficiency, and self-responsibility.  Taxing what he doesn’t want to happen (success at the top) to bring them down and making it all but impossible (with high marginal tax rates) to claw oneself out of the bottom.  How often have you heard him say “make it into the middle class” as the American Dream?  Yet another transformation of the American Aspiration – to make it into the 1%, that any of us could be rich?  Notice he never uses that as the goal?  Simply settling for middle class -” just good enough” should be “good enough” for Americans, in his eyes.

The question is, is rocking in the Progressive’s Government Hammock for the rest of your life “good enough” for you?
