Democrats once again issued calls for impeachment after George W. Bush announced that he was not satisfied with the pace of congress and that while he would like to work through congress, he had a pen and a phone and would take executive action if they failed to approve his policies.
The entire left is in high dungeon over these remarks, flooding the media with commentary and analysis about how this is tyrannical, ignores the will of all the people and their elected representatives, and violates the sacred constitutional separation of powers. MSNBC has been on this story 24/7 since the remarks as has CNN and most of the major networks are reporting views of Democrats, talking heads, single mom’s, and regular “hard working Americans,” in DC and across the nation.
A common refrain is that we should have known, based on past use of signing statements, and abuse of ‘executive privilege,’ that this would happen. That we’d end up with an imperial presidency.
Wait. Sorry.
Obama said that stuff, not Bush and Democrats aren’t saying anything.
My bad.
