The RINO Report: Usual Suspects And Some Newly Minted

“Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.” Barry Goldwater

Meh.
Meh.

HB 474 passed out of the house today on a roll call vote of 188 to 155. “Relative to eligibility for in-state tuition rates at the university system of New Hampshire,” as the bill is titled, provides in-state tuition rates for “crimaliens,” those who are not present in our State, much less our country, with the benefit of being here, legally.

This bill is morally repugnant to so many who filled out forms, came to this nation and played by all the rules to be citizens and reap the benefits of citizenship, while others skipped across the border, overstayed their work visas and broke our nations laws and sucked off of the national nipple.

My great Uncle Yjalmär was not even a U.S. citizen when he was conscripted into the U.S. Army only seven years after arriving in the U.S. He fought in World War I, which earned him his citizenship. My Great Aunt Astrid had to become a U.S. Citizen before she could attend the University of New Hampshire. She was delayed in attending until 1926. She went on the become an Algebra teacher in New Britain Connecticut and retired in 1964. Both were (to use a contemporary term) “ESL” learners, but without the benefit of special assistance from the Educratic hackarama.

Indeed, it was expected that most of the Democrats, the party of Kool-Aid Slurping, Pandering, lies and general rank progressive charlatanry would support the bill, yet few had the balls to attach their name to it next to Peter Schmidt.

I didn’t much bother looking at “who” in the DemocRat party voted yea, as much as I looked at who, in the Republican party voted, Yea. David Kidder, a reliable RINO who wears being a RINO like some kind of twisted badge of courage. Kidder is a happy warrior, kind of like Joe Bidentoo stupid to know we are making fun of him.

Then of course, Priscilla Lockwood, another veteran of RINO of the Week fame. She voted for the bill. Another rubber-spined self-proclaimed moderate who has an unfulfilled need to be loved by liberals. No surprise there.

And the list would be sans replete had it not included Carolyn Gargacz from Hollis, also a veteran of the RINO report. Carolyn can always be counted on for absence during critical votes and jumping ship when some lefty makes nice with her. When it comes to profiles in courage she garners and empty shoebox that smells like mothballs. No surprise there, either.

Julie Brown, Bill Remick, Dick Drisko, Marshall Quandt, and Alida Millham are all gone now. But as Death and taxes go, so also do the inevitabilities of RINO’s and the birth of a new Freshman Class.

Aboul-KhanAboul Khan, Rockingham, District 20 from Seabrook, A native of Bangladesh Representative Khan came to America in 1981. I am guessing his story of immigrating to the states is not very different from many of us or our families. Yet, he throws his fellow countrymen under the bus who have to play by the rules to come to America. Perhaps he wants to fast track the process. Who knows?

Rick-LaddRick Ladd, Grafton 4, from Haverhill, appears to be from Alaska. Representative Ladd is a multi-term encumbent, but is an educrat by trade. Indeed. Like his cohorts he devalues the hard work and rules many families had to follow to come to America and New Hampshire. Nothing like encouraging lawbreaking.

Jeffrey Shackett, Grafton 9 from Bridgewater, a “low flight” representative where very No_Photolittle information can be found on him. He was voted into office in 2010 and is a two-term encumbent. Looking at his profile he has the makings of a solid RINO. For example, “Jeff Shackett refused to tell citizens where he stands on any of the issues addressed in the 2012 Political Courage Test,” says Project Vote Smart and he garnered low scores where Republicans typically score high.  Rubber-spined is the best guess.

Charlene-TakesianCharlene Takesian, Hillsborough 37 from Pelham, A newcomer to the house. Her bio states she grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Pelham in 1977. Part of the problem with Bay State transplants is no matter how conservative they claim to be, they always seem to bring a sliver of that Bay State socialism with them. Hence, this vote.

Willette_RobertRobert Willette, Hillsborough 23 from Milford, an incumbent with a largely conservative voting record, but that does not mean occasionally a house rep wont step outside for a cold drink of Kool-Aid. Cornerstone asserts Willette voted 92& of the time in advocacy of traditional family values. The other 8% of the time he yelled, Hey Kool-Aid. Such is the case here in voting for this bill.

House Bill 474 will have important fiscal and social impacts on the Granite State if allowed to become law. New Hampshire will be on track to become a safe haven for illegal immigration, resulting in increases in social spending, crime and downward spiral of the economy. With the long-standing fight over our voting laws, we are well on our way of resembling a border state.
