Campbell Not Only Fled the Scene – He Had Help From a Nashua Police Comissioner

Fechez la vache!

Leaving the scene of any incident resulting in damage caused by you and your motor-vehicle is a crime for most of us.  But if you are a wealthy and well-regarded Nashua Democrat you can skip that part.

Now, Campbell insists that the former Marine who saw him mow down some ducks with his BMW pursued him on foot.  In the interest of his safety he went to his office and from there called, not the police, but his friend of 30 years who just happens to be Nashua Police Commissioner Thomas Pappas.

Despite the circumstances of the reported confrontation or of any actual confrontation itself, neither Campbell nor Police Commissioner Pappas called the police while near the scene, to report the incident.   Police Commissioner Pappas did not take Nashua Democrat House Rep David Campbell back to the scene to address the circumstances or to see if Police had been called.  Instead he took a Democrat State Rep who admits he had been drinking and “accidentally” mowed down a family of ducks, and sequestered him away, out of reach, beyond contact (apparently his phone was dead and there were no other working phones in the “residence” at which he was hiding)….for about 16 hours.

Pappas spoke with the police shortly after the incident.  He knew there was an investigation and that the Nashua police wanted to speak to Democrat House Rep David Campbell.   But in the 21st century, a wealthy lawyer was dropped off by his wealthy and connected Police commission buddy at a residence with no means of communication whatsoever? Really?

Does this sound even remotely suspicious to anyone?

Campbell quickly  pleaded no contest to the duck deaths and now we know why.  He doesn’t want anyone scrutinizing the curious circumstances of that night.  He  hit some ducks.  If he was sober and it was truly accidental as he claims, why run away?  He is hiding something.  Pappas helped him hide it.

Feel free to speculate on the particulars.
