Blogline of the Day – on raising the Minimum Wage

“The idea that my antipoverty strategy is to force employers to pay a wage higher than what they estimate the worth of workers’ services to be worth . . . that just strikes me as an intellectually impoverished response to the problem of people being in need. And to make an ideological totem out of it, to say if you’re on the right side of history you’re for this thing, feels coercive to me.”

– Glenn Loury

The issue is coming up – yet another Political Club that the Democrats are going to use because the Republicans can’t get out of the blocks first.  Always reacting instead of being proactive on the issues.

Just like the unemployment extension.  Behind on the issue, behind on the time.  Again.  Will it be fight or “off the table” on one or both?

Co-founder of GraniteGrok, my concern is around Individual Liberty and Freedom (and how Government is taking that away from us). My fight, from a Conservative (with small “L” libertarian leanings) and evangelical Christian perspective, is with the Progressives that are forcing a collectivized and secular humanistic future upon us. As TEA Party activist, citizen journalist (and pundit!), my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America’s Founders back into our culture again.
