When is Life? - Granite Grok

When is Life?

As Democrats in the US Senate, including NH’s Jeanne Shaheen,  work to deny states the right to decide things about abortion it occurs to me to take a slightly different tack on the issue.

Life, if environmentalists (who are overwhelmingly Democrat) are to be believed, is what flourishes through natural mechanisms in the absence of outside interference.   You know, Life, “The capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death.”  The planet grows and expands to fill all the spaces it can and people are no different.  You and I are only here because from our very beginning until now nothing has come between us and being alive, everything preceding death.  Nothing has ended our lives.

But where did we begin?  If we stick to the “necessary equipment” without getting philosophical you need a man and a woman and a womb.   If you are missing any of the three, there is no human life.  You are not here.  It naturally follows then that what is created when these things do come together, is life.

People who favor abortion will argue that life is subjective, even after conception, even though in the absence of conception human life is not possible.  This would be like saying that the light coming from a distant star that has not yet reached us does not exist.  This is denial managed to justify human sacrifice in the name of a political agenda.  It does exist.  It is life.

Left to its own devices life will evolve from conception into one of us.  Put another way, I am only writing this and you are only reading it becasue neither “nature” (nor natures God), or a Democrat party agenda, has yet taken our lives from us.  We are here because a Democrat did not convince your mother or her culture that she has the right to end your life.

We are what happens when abortion does not.   We are that something and that something is a human life.  Stopping it is a death sentence and death begins when life ends.
