Certainly someone who looms large over the Conservative / Liberty and Freedom movement here in NH is The Patriot Pastor, Garrett Lear (at 6’8″, he literally does). I am used to seeing him in his Colonial outfit but I noticed something this night that I had not seen before. I keep mentioning him being a current member of the Black Robed Regiment (the clergy during the Revolutionary War that had as much to do in instituting a more free society here in the nascent United States as did the warriors and Founding Fathers) but I was surprised (but only a bit) to see a musket over his shoulder. Why not? Carrying arms was just a normal part of life in the Colonies at that time – not as weapons for war as the Left would have us believe but also for normal self-defense and for hunting (er, no Shaw’s or Market Basket grocery stores down the street).
I missed his speech (given travel time Southward AND trying to find a way to unload equipment and find parking, but as always, he was gracious in giving us a micro-interview:
