if Obama has lost Chuck Todd.... - Granite Grok

if Obama has lost Chuck Todd….

My jaw dropped when I heard Todd say this on Meet the Press yesterday (emphasis mine):

CHUCK TODD: David, the most interesting thing in this report, right, page one– it’s page three of the report, it says here that, “The team is operating with private sector velocity and effectiveness.”

DAVID GREGORY: Yeah.

CHUCK TODD: Okay, that is an acknowledgement that, “You know what? If this was a government operation for a long time and it failed, now we’re bringing in the private sector folks.” I mean, that is an indictment on the whole idea of government as a solution, frankly, when you look at [unintelligible].

The report was from HHS and was meant to put on a happy face on a website that took 3.5 years and $600 million to screw up – and then stood on the smallest part of a twig to make that claim to try to say (shades of Kevin Bacon in “Animal House”) “All is well” now.

And it promptly snapped.

Folks, they can’t even build the facade of the Potemkin Village correct.  Two months after Obama and Sebelius said it would work in a month, it still is not a “system”.  Trust me – the worst part is not the website – it is the crass attempt to force others to take care of strangers at a quantity and intensity that has never been seen in this “Land of the Free” before.  In essence, the Democrats have made 50% of Americans the indentured servants / slaves of the other only to salve Obama’s retributional redistribution tendencies (“You WILL take care of them, I say, or the IRS will come knocking”.).  Freedom is just a word to him, now very narrowly defined as “freedom from necessity” for some but only by plundering of others.  It used to be hidden by Democrats by scads of small and oft hidden taxes and fees.

For the involuntary “donors”, it means much higher premiums and deductibles – and for many, used to having healthcare insurance that suited them, are now finding themselves to choose from going to the grocery store, paying the mortgage, or going “insurance naked”.  So we see, Carol Shea-Porter and Jeanne Shaheen walking lockstep with Obama in punishing the middle class for its perceived sins of maltreating the lower class.  Nice to see, CSP and Shaheen, that you are personally responsible for bringing this Marxist Principle to the fore here in America and New Hampshire.

Remember, our Congressional dudettes, YOU are personally responsible for subjecting the State of New Hampshire to the monopoly of a single insurance carrier.  You are also PERSONALLY responsible, via your votes, for cutting out almost 1/2 of the State’s hospitals from Anthem’s narrow network.

I can’t wait to see your reactions when people start waking up to the fact that you have totally screwed up, not just their healthcare routines (that some have had for years) but their lives.  People can and WILL blame YOU PERSONALLY for any deaths that might happen when the nearest hospital is an hour away in a life or death situation.  And they will happen.
