Another incoherent answer by CongressCritter Annie Kuster “on the Middle East” – Negotiating with Palestinians? Really?

When I first listened to this, I had no idea what to post about it – absolutely incoherent of an answer.  At least on her Benghazi answer, she had the good sense to say pretty much nothing.  Here, you can tell that what’s she believes is not what she can say to this audience (or, once again, absolutely totally unprepared).  Long pauses, obvious searching for words (not even the “right words” but ANY words that can constitute “an answer” without saying not much at all.

All I can come up with is “After all, Israel just can’t pick itself up and go somewhere else, right?”    Here’s my transcript – maybe you can figure out her non-answer of a non-answer:

Umm, in terms of negotiating with the Palestinians, again, I think its, umm, you know, a question of sort of a false choice in…regarding negotiation with the Palestinians or we don’t negotiate with anyone but not negotiating with anyone doesn’t lead Israel in a safer place.

And I think, umm, that’s…central to the question of Israeli security is how to best be in the region surrounded by, umm, States that are not…friendly, you know, anda and I don’t, I think what’s interesting about the Iron Dome concept is that its a way for Israel to protect themselves from incoming weapons but I don’t think there is anyway to seal off the entire country from being in this region and having these neighbors. And so to me, it its not a question of, umm, you know, negotiating or not negotiating at all.  I think it is a question of trying to find which partners in the region can   you have a reasonable negotiation with to reach a place of greater security.

Got that? Great – wanna ‘splain that to me, then?  ‘Cuz NOWHERE in there can I see any kind of answer buried in there at all.  Once again, deer-in-headlights but this time she flapped her gums.  Obfuscating that you have no clue (or can’t tell you) doesn’t cut it.  Here’s the real follow up question:

Hamas and the Palestinian Authority have made it clear that they want to wipe Israel off the map -can you even IDENTIFY a reasonable partner there, Annie?
