Sorry Zandra Rice-Hawkins but making an Obama-like pronouncement on CloseUp doesn't make it true. - Granite Grok

Sorry Zandra Rice-Hawkins but making an Obama-like pronouncement on CloseUp doesn’t make it true.

WMUROn WMUR’s CloseUp yesterday, Greg Moore of AFP/NH and Zandra Rice-Hawkins of Granite State Progress went tete-a-tete over the Medicaid Expansion here in NH.  I’ll be popping up some video about her attempting to make the equivalence that Obamacare is the same as the US Constitution (yes, she really did!) but she did make one claim that is an outright lie: that the American People WANT Obamacare.  Sure they do, Zandra – but only when your brain matter is drifting along in the Progressive Dystopia that you all are trying to foist upon our futures.

Since the time that Obamacare was written, legislated, and passed by a single Party (and that only after bribes were given, and all predicated on Obama and the Democrats lying to the American Public about its results), poll after poll after poll has shown a majority of Americans are against Obamacare.  Not even your best impersonation of King Canute can change it – and it is getting worse to boot.  Obamacare has caused LESS people to have healthcare insurance and not more:  First, Gallup is showing, more and more, the American People believe that it is NOT the responsibility of Government to ensure that people have healthcare coverage:

Gallup - Govt should not be responsible for healthcare

Further, Rasmussen has a whole tanker full of water to pour all over Zandra Rice-Hawkins – a few observations:

  • just 38% of Likely U.S. Voters now have at least a somewhat favorable opinion of the new national health care law. That’s down seven points from 45% a month ago.
  • Fifty-eight percent (58%) view the law unfavorably, up five points from the previous survey and the highest finding in regular surveying since early January. These findings include 15% with a Very Favorable opinion of the law and 45% with a Very Unfavorable one

And given Zandra’s Progressive belief that only government can make the right decisions, this ought to be a kick to the solar plexus:

  • 62% who believe increased free market competition will do more to reduce health care costs than more government regulation.
  • 56% say state competition would do more to reduce health care costs. This is the highest level of support for more competition between the states this year.

And even Democrats are losing faith:

  • Sixty-six percent (66%) of Democrats continue to view the health care law favorably, although that’s down from 73% a month ago.

But of course, THE Class to which Zandra belongs, the Political Class, is almost unanimous about it:

  • Ninety-five percent (95%) of the Political Class have a favorable opinion of the health care law. Seventy-two percent (72%) of Mainstream voters view the law unfavorably.

But of course they are in favor of it – they make their livings or prestige from having a larger and larger Government and less influence by “the common folk”
