So taking Medicaid money from the Feds (who don’t have it in the first place) is a GREAT demonstration of Republicanism?

Cloward – Piven:  Obamacare is not about given healthcare coverage to the poor, or even assuming just Control over 1/6th of the US economy.  It is THE tool to collapse the entire system.  Not just healthcare. Everything”

Or one of appeasement (er, under the guise of “taking it off the table” aka “they can’t club us with it anymore”) in which the Democrats get what they wanted anyways.Again, from DiStaso:

State Senate President Chuck Morse and Senate Majority Leader Jeb Bradley briefed that committee on their alternative plan to Medicaid expansion ahead of the opening of the special legislative session.  Most on the committee supported it, but a few didn’t, we’re told.

$2.4 Billion from a Federal government that is in arrears of $17 Trillion, and the Republican Party Wise Men and (joined by Wise Woman, Nancy Stiles) think that by simply not spending it like the Democrats would (in traditional Medicaid fashion) but purchasing “private insurance” from the Monopoly Insurance carrier in NH, Anthem (thanks to both Jeanne Shaheen and Obamacare) makes it all OK.  It doesn’t and because of their concentrating on merely State level politics, they are failing to see the Big Picture.

How does this fit the Major Republican Pillars of Limited Government, lower taxes, and adherence to Constitutional values (both US and NH)?  For the life of me, I can’t figure it out at ALL (although Democrats continually abuse “the General Welfare” phrase in the US and in the NH, each town and city is to provide welfare services).  Suffice it to say that concerning the Establishment Republicans and the phrase “Jr. Partners of the Democrats in expanding the Welfare State”, the conservative base is thinking just that in terms of of that old joke about a lawyer before a judge:

Prosecuting attorney: Your HONOR – I object!  Please tell him to stop calling me a pig!
Judge:  Stop calling the prosecuting attorney, Mrs. Rose, a pig!  I have warned you enough!
Lawyer: OK, Your Honor.  But can I name a pig “Mrs. Rose”?
Judge: Yes
Lawyer: As I was saying, Mrs. Rose….

And this Medicaid Expansion, the way that the Republican Party is going to get stuffed on this, is nothing less than a pig in a poke.  The Republicans can say “No” – we will stand for our values because they are best for the long term!  The Establishment Republican probably can’t even spell Cloward – Piven  much less see the HUGE role it is playing in this whole Obamacare rollout via the Leftist Alinskyists at its helm.  You think it is chaos now?  Just wait – it will get FAR FAR worse.

Cloward – Piven:  Obamacare is not about given healthcare coverage to the poor, or even assuming just Control over 1/6th of the US economy.  It is THE tool to collapse the entire system.    Not just healthcare. Everything.  Look at the tax subsidy levels for “affordable” for the poor – but that retributional (“we are finally going to make you pay!”)  redistribution will bankrupt the middle and upper middle class by effectively eliminating healthcare insurance to their families while paying the full freight for someone else’s family – but calling it “fairness” and “equality”. Then who will power our consumer based economy?  Government?

Doubt me?  It almost worked in New York City – see here from a guy who had the same Columbia profs as Obama did (and here) for others that are thinking the same thing.

Back to the point: Want to continue to demoralize the NH base ahead of the 2014 elections?  Just keep on doing whatcha doin’.  Funding is down, the coffers  are an empty echo – and I hear that the audience at the “fund raiser” this past Friday night was full of comp’d attendees. It’s not bad enough??

The base knows ONE thing that these folks think that we are too stupid to know – they are acting like it is mandatory!  Well, it was – and then ruled Unconstitutional as the Supremes ruled that the Feds could not unilaterally decree that they’d withhold ALL  Medicaid monies if States didn’t:

  • take their money
  • relax the standards to make more people dependent on government for their very being.

Yes, the base knows it is optional – you can say “No more!”. We are watching to see how much backbone the NH Republican leadership will have in refusing to expand Government.  Makes no different to us that it is “free money” – our Fed taxes will go up for those other peoples’ “free money” (TANSTAAFL) so stop turning on the yellow rain. Don’t tell us that “we are just getting our NH $$ back” – back from what?  A bankrupt Federal Government?  And what will you say to my grandkids when they realize they are now fiscally  indentured servants to help pay the for the Debt you are willing to continue to notch upward?  Trite, worn phrases won’t cut it.  Telling me that the State’s hospitals are bleeding red – and it isn’t blood won’t make it – you politicians all passed the laws that had Government put them into that position! (a classic case of Politicians screwing things up firstly and yelling “we have to do this” to fix what they broke)!!

How about just leaving things along and admit “We’re not smart enough to know everything needed for Government NOT to continue to make mistakes?

We already know what will happen in 3 years when the Feds back off the $$ spigot – and you’ll probably cave yet again because you only know how to kick the can and not SMASH the can.
