Senator Shaheen (and the Democrat Parties Hypocrisy) On ID and Vote Suppression

As a distraction, someone in NH Democrat Senator Jeanne Shaheen’s office has been releasing Facebook Status updates–from time to time–asking you and I to oppose what the Professional left describe as vote suppression, by Republicans.

Voter ID required except when its not
Voter ID required except when its not

If you are new to this game, that is code for, expecting someone to present an ID to vote.   It is unreasonable, oppressive (suppressive), to expect anyone of voting age to have some proof that they are who they claim or are a resident eligible to vote in that precinct, before they are handed a ballot.

This from the same Democrats who have been on a tear as of late screaming and yelling for more government programs at both the state and local levels.  Programs, only accessibly, to thee needy and desperate folk, with a state or government issued….ID.

Can you smell the hypocrisy?

Expecting someone to have ID to vote is vote suppression, but expanding medicaid with the goal of adding tens of thousands of new dependents–who will have to have photo ID to apply–is so reasonable a proposition that NH Democrats just want to pass it without even reading the bill written to approve and manage it in the Granite State.   You’ve heard of SSDD?  Well this is SDDD.  Same Democrats, Different Day.

But the fraud of ID induced vote suppression does not end there.

Senator Shaheen and her progressive brethren expect you to believe that none of the people they claim will be suppressed by Voter ID will ever try to buy alcohol, cigarettes, get a prescription, open a bank account, or even cash a check–which must includes the government checks they are so happy to hand out to people in need whom they insist would suffer hardship if forced to have the same ID to vote that would be required to cash that government check anywhere that cashes checks.

Sure, electronic transfer or direct deposit are options…if you have an ID to open an account into which to transfer those funds.

Who among us recalls that all men at age 18 must register for the draft?  You need an ID for that.

Ever get stuck behind someone at the grocery store who is paying with a check?  They have ID or used ID to get a store check cashing card.  ATM debit card–need ID to get one.  You even need ID to get EBT.

Need I go on?

I could.  I’ve visited this topic more times than I can count, though my favorite’s are the ID for registering for college, need an ID at the age of 16 or above to access certain state services in New Hampshire, and the list goes on and on.

I should remark, at this time, that there are many Democrats, undecideds, independents, and more than a few low information voters who have not yet connected the dots of the left on issues related to ID.  They are happily spewing the lies served to them in email updates prefaced by words like ‘Urgent!, thee ones that ask for three dollars to help (insert name of lying, hypocritical, form letter-email spamming Democrat here) to stop those evil (insert Republican, Tea Party, or name of some Republican the left has tied to the Tea party here).

Anyone who does not have an ID is either too young to need it, or here illegally (and waiting for Democrats to force us to provide them with one.)

Did you see that?  The government can force the state to provide ID, drivers licensing mostly, to illegal aliens.  We’ve all heard the stories of Democrat cities and states that want that.  Did you ever think to ask why?  Because they can’t access the massive network of taxpayer funded government managed services properly without an ID.

And so we have come full circle.  Everyone needs the government in their lives in some way.  To interface properly (to be recorded eyeopener) you need an ID.  But asking someone to have one and present it when they show up at a polling place…is vote suppression.

The truth is much plainer and easily observed in New Hampshire where some 20,000 or so people voted without any ID or proof of residence last November.  It’s not about the ID, it is about hiding vote fraud.

ID increases minority turn out, overall turnout, because it improves the integrity of the election.  Lacking integrity,  no Democrat could never support such a wild idea.   Democrats who claim to have integrity, and I suspect there are a few, might want to stand up to the lying hypocrites in their party and call them out.

I wont hold my breath waiting for that to happen.  But Senator Shaheen might want to reconsider her devotion to repeating the talking points of her party.   They are making her look like a damn idiot, as if she needed the help.
