You can’t claim a moral imperative for war if you have no morals. Perhaps that explains this, or maybe it is just jealousy?
Israel conducted air raids against a Syrian missile base near the port city of Latakia early on Thursday, according to an anonymous US administration official.
The official, speaking to CNN, said Israel targeted missiles and related equipment out of concern that they would be transferred to Hezbollah. It is unclear why the US would leak such information, as it could increase the pressure on Syria to retaliate against Israel.
I would not be at all surprised to hear that the Obama Administration wanted Syria to attack Israel. There is no love lost between this administration and Israel, but it would give Obama and excuse to bomb Syria in the name of assisting an ally he’s all but snubbed and berated since taking office. Obma needs another good distraction from the healthcare roll-out failures, Benghazi, and the IRS Scandal, among others.
