Isn’t this a lie? “Putting Americans In Control of Their Health Care”?

WH - You LIELet’s see, My Government says what my insurance policy has to have – including substance abuse (I’m a teetotaler), pediatric care (my kids are grown and I’m not going to have any more), and maternity care (ditto).  Other stuff as well that I would never purchase if I  had my own way.

How am I in control of my healthcare?

I am limited by My Government as to who I can buy from.

How am I in control of my healthcare?

I am being forced by My Government to subsidize others’ healthcare plans even as I may not be able to afford my own – whereMy Government mandated costs may be more than my mortgage – and that’s BEFORE contemplating the deductible.

How am I in control of my healthcare?

My Government has decided that I am stupid, incompetent, and ignorant for wanting to stick to my old plan (yet it has served me well for years and meets the needs of my family).  It has decided that it knows better than I do – and is making it illegal. 

How am I in control of my healthcare?

My Government is mandating that my doctor ask me questions the likes he has NEVER asked before.

How am I in control of my healthcare?

My Government is mandating that I report all changes in my household income to the IRS.

How am I in control of my healthcare?

My Government is mandating that if there is a significant “lifestyle change” in my household, I have to report that to the IRS.

How am I in control of my healthcare?

My Government is mandating that even if my doctor says that if there is a procedure that could save my life, if they have not approved it, I can’t have it (even if I can pay for it myself).

How am I in control of my healthcare?

I can do more – much more.  In face, How am I in control of my healthcare when the bill itself is 2,700 pages long and the regulations are well north of 20,000 pages and seemingly growing faster and faster.

And they think this is a good thing?
