A RESOLUTION Urging Congress to Investigate the Benghazi Incident.

Jr Hoell
LSR 14-2065.1:

A RESOLUTION urging Congress to investigate the Benghazi incident.

Whereas, every American citizen serving in the defense of his or her country has the right and the expectation to not be left behind on foreign or domestic soil; and

Whereas, the Secretary of State was sent 5 dispatches from Embassy Tripoli dated March 28, 2012, July 9, 2012, Aug 2, 2012, Aug 20, 2012, and Sept 11, 2012, all requesting more security agents or complaining about the integrity of the local security people; and

Whereas, there were over 125 Marines stationed in Sigonella, Italy, part of the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force 12, who were tasked with training African militaries fighting Africa-based terror groups, which were never called in to help; and

Whereas, the State Department’s own Accountability Review Board concluded that “systemic” management and leadership failures at the State Department led to “grossly” inadequate security at the mission in Benghazi, Libya; and

Whereas, even those found to be culpable have suffered no consequences from their cowardly and despicable actions; therefore be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the New Hampshire house of representatives hereby calls upon its federal colleagues to urge immediate action by the United States Senate and United States House of Representatives to fully investigate the facts, including the subpoena and interrogation of any and all material witnesses, surrounding or relevant to the terrorist attack against the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012, which resulted in the deaths of 4 Americans including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens; and

That copies of this resolution be transmitted by the house clerk to the President of the United States Senate, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, and each member of the New Hampshire congressional delegation.
