Prager University – Is Evil Rational?

Prager University

Today, it’s common to call acts of evil–whether of a criminal or of a tyrannical dictator–“irrational” or “mad.” Why? Sometimes, behaving cruelly is a matter of self-interest. What is truly unreasonable is to unnecessarily risk one’s life to save a stranger, like some non-Jews in Europe did during World War 2 when they hid Jews who were hunted by the Nazis.

In our newest course,“Is Evil Rational?”, Dennis Prager explains why reason can’t always explain good, and why “madness” can’t always explain evil. Enjoy…and share.
