Obama may have pushed far enough (be it from incompetence or planning)

From BLACKFIVE (emphasis mine):

First, it was the order to close/block memorials – expending mucho dinero to protect memorials and monuments that – generally – are never protected. This is particularly disgusting when it comes to blocking the WWII memorial where flights of WWII vets are making a first and (most likely) last pilgrimage to their place

Then, there was the order to deny death benefits to the families of the Fallen…

Turns out, the orders to close off the memorials and to deny death benefits to the families of the Fallen came directly from…the budget office of the White House.

The White House.

Who’s in charge over there?

The President.

The Vets have had enough.

Indeed!  They have fought for our freedom before and they are about to fight for it again.  Truckers this weekend.  Bikers this weekend.  TEA Partiers are reving up.  Obama’s approval rating is approaching his sense and display of traditional American morality and outlook (which is to say, not much at all).I said at the beginning of the TEA Party movement that Obama and his political sycophants and fellow sojourners had so compressed the air in the cylinder of the political diesel engine that all it needed was a spark – and that was the rant by CNBC’s Rick Santelli on the floor of the Chicago (of all places) Board of Trade.  And now, Obama has done it again – not with threatening to pay irresponsible peoples’ mortgages with money from those that had always been responsible with their own, but by actively using WW II veterans and tourists as hostages.  He is using Government, and the Party that stands for and IS Government, to have his revenge.

His intent was to fundamentally transform America when he took office.  He is now showing us that he is willing to move from the political realm and towards a new phase: hurt the public.  He has shown his hand: he is willing to go where no other President has ever gone before.  IRS, Interior Department, HHS, DoE, DoED, spying on American citizens by the NSA, DEA, FBI – we are now seeing a new face of Government that is changing its relationship with a citizenry that used to have a Government to that where we may be going to a Government that has subjects.  I believe that the heat is being turned up – Obama and his Administration may be trying to see how far to push.

And now the Vets. So, the rest from BLACKFIVE – the important part.:

So this leads us to this (emphasis is mine):

For any military veteran (or supporter of military veterans) who will (or can) be in Washington, DC this Sunday, October 13th, I encourage you to join in the Million Vet March.

It will take place at 9 AM, beginning at the World War II Veterans Memorial, as a protest by veterans and others against the Obama administration’s reprehensible, petulant closing of open-air memorials to those who have given “their last full measure of devotion” to our great nation.

As one web site notes, “The Administration has closed down war memorials that are normally open 24/7 and that do not have any staff to guard them under normal circumstances.”

Several organizations, including Special Operations Speaks and Brats for Veterans, as well as individuals with ties to veterans and veterans-related groups, have organized the non-partisan event.

This is spreading across the milblogs – quickly.  Many of us grassrooters have been wondering “how long before he went too far”?  We see those in Government all too willing, by order or in political sympatico, to do the pushing.  Many of us have wondered “which way will certain public servants decide”?  Now we know.

Now those that were willing to risk the ultimate sacrifice are deploying again on our behalf.  Now that last question becomes:
“which way will YOU decide”?

It matters.  Maybe not for you, but what kind of life do you want for your kids and grandkids.  Soon, you may have to choose – the choice to be apathetic will not be on the enumerated list of options.  Free or subject – the decision time is approaching.
