NH BIA Supports Common Core, But How Many of their Dues Paying Memebers Would Agree?

The New Hampshire Business and Industrial Association, see also BIA, see also the same BIA that had no objection to the NH Democrat majority cramming a late-night-last-minute-LLC tax on small businesses a few years back—right up until they were convinced to be against it, has come out in favor of Common Core.

Common Core is a disaster.  Teachers hate it.  Administrators hate it.  People who blindly supported it are being pilloried by parents and educators alike.  Anyone who takes the time to get to know it on the first date, changes their phone number and refuses to answer the door when it comes to call.  So why should we be surprised that the BIA supports it?

We should not.  But the dues paying members of the BIA might be alarmed when the general population starts calling them to ask how they can support Common Core through the BIA.

Here is the membership directory.

If you frequent any of the businesses listed, or those tha associate with the BIA as part of your business, drop them an email or give them a call.  Ask them why they support common core and not local control of education?

By funding the BIA they take ownership in its stances–they therfore have a right to question and even challenge them.

You may have to explain this.   Or you could just suggest that you and yours are less likely to offer your custom in objection to any support for top-down central planning of this sort.  Suggest how the poor curriculum will handicap future generations, or how you object to the ideological manipulation and information mining of our children.  Theses business owners might be appaled at the idea, having not had time to grasp what it is, and what–by extension–they are supporting via the BIA.

I am guessing that this is just some crazy mistake made by someone at BIA who has no idea what Common Core really is or is about but I am willing to beleive that the BIA knows and supports it with full knowledge of Common Core and its component parts.

BIA and its PAC are dependent on dues payers and donors so the only way to their heart is through their stomach.
