Jennifer – remember “derogatory”? You threw me under the bus, a few of years back

Oh, Sidenote first (because it IS just that kind of day): OK, Landrigan, you and DiStaso are a pair today.  He can’t tell a TEA Partier from shinola and you can’t even get the names straight: “Bragdon goes on offense in offering defense”.  Even as we are castigated as mere bloggers, all I keep hearing is layers upon layers of factcheckers and editors.  Really – can’t even fact check your own headline?  And you two are supposed to be the “experts”?

Finally, a high level Republican actually knows the meaning of the word that one hardly NEVER sees in Politics: Loyalty.  From the Telegraph, we see Bill O’Brien showing the loyalty to subordinate.  He didn’t have to – he just did the right thing.  He gains nothing politically by doing this (more later on this line of thinking).   He put someone else before his own well-being.  He’s trying to not leave anyone behind that is under attack and calls out those that should be the cavalry coming over the hill, pennants waving and guns blazing to protect their own: the NH GOP.

Once again, though, the Chair lowers its behavior well under my extremely low expectations – giving into that just WONDERFUL Democrat trap called Political Correctness.  It is like the Chair is OBSESSED with using that tool of Marxist Culturalists everywhere.  Only problem is that it IS gonna bite her, too:

“The first is that Democrats have turned their tried and true Alinskyite demonization campaign on Pete. No surprise there. But, the second thing? In likewise tried and true fashion, the Republican state party is threatening to withdraw support from Pete. They want him to validate the Dems’ libelous narrative by running from his beliefs and, it seems to me, apologize for having offended the liberals.”

Once again, we see the Party willing to put additional sacrificial lambs on the altar of Political Correctness – seeking some small measure of approval from….umm,  Democrats?  Thinking that just once more, they can appease the likes of Harrel Kirstein?  Silly creatures. I cCan’t think of any other special interest group.  Making a pitch to Independents?  Tell me, NH GOP – what’s the reaction of those folks when they see you pitching them under the bus all the time?  And see the Democrats not do the same – and if they do, allow them back in – right Timothy Horrigan?

O’Brien said he has written a $500 check to Silva’s campaign and invited his supporters to chip in, as well.

“Do this as much for yourself, your family and your state as for Pete,” O’Brien said. “But please, do it.”

Or, be the Anti-Establishment and send a donation in the footsteps of O’Brien who is trying to do the right thing in THIS case.  And all you need is this for a reason:

Republican State Chairwoman Jennifer Horn told WSMN-AM radio on Friday that she wouldn’t defend the comment, but that Silva was making a point about the importance of turnout in a meeting with the Nashua Republican City Committee.

“I reject the comment; I reject the idea of defining by any one group or organization that they might belong to,” Horn said.

Reponse: Skirt. Derogatory.

Remember those words, NH GOP Chair Jennifer Horn?  I do – very clearly; should I really lay it all out there now?  Or should I give you the time to SPIN (and there were four people involved in that: you were one, I was one.  And I just got off the phone with one of the other two) first.   Your words that said “Under the bus you go – you are in my way”. You did it to me when I was one of the most active people trying to get Jack Kimball elected Chair.  You thought it would give you a political advantage.  It did – but only for a short term.  It was so GREAT to see Jack get elected NH GOP Chair – and you took all the glory for it even as others were doing the grunt work.  And then, as those that were in the know at the time, and in turn, you stuck the knife in his back during the Establishment vs TEA Party coup.  With the rapidity of how fast Bill dropped out, there is the perception that the NH GOP had fingers there as well.

And now you’re sliding it out of its sheath again – I see that you haven’t changed your PC spots at all.  At the first time of trouble, you turn tail to put much distance between the damage and yourself.  Gosh, I don’t know who can do it faster – you or Obama when he’s in campaign mode (which is to say, pretty much all the time).  You MUST be an Olympic athlete – always sprinting to the head of the next parade du jour (and then sprinting backwards just as fast if need be)  and the ability to pirouette on a dime  (H/T: Mike for the line).  First Kimball, then Twombly, maybe O’Brien, now  Silva. The question is “who’s next?”, as about the only loyalty we see longish term is to that nitwit David “Do you know who I am” Chesley.

Sidenote II: how he tried to take both Mike and I on at an NHFRW event would make a nice post – lots of folks there who witnessed that.  Word to the witless, btw – don’t ever try it again.

And yes, pretty much any other grassroot conservatives because, well, they’re not useful.  After all, how’s that “grassroots giving” program going?  Yes, Jennifer, just like that song from “COPS”, half the base is coming for you – because most of us actually believe in Principles, not just of Party, but things like Consistency, Trust, Integrity, and, oh yeah, Loyalty.  Promise Keeping and Accountability, too – for instance, how’s yer NH GOP Chair campaign promises going, eh?:

  • “Unite the Party” – from where I blog, the party is still split 50-50
  • “Raise LOTS of money” – there are rumors slying around….’nuff said
  • “Redo the NH GOP’s technology base” – $17K ain’t gonna do anything to win state wide elections (WINNING! to the webmaster’s pocket, I guess)

PS – Closing thought: actually, I think Bill O’Brien does gain – with people who understand and believe that Political Correctness is a curse.  And gains with people who see that he was willing to “leave no man behind” – even as you, Jennifer, decided to grab the life jacket from a wounded person – and then twisted that PC knife just a bit more.

Toodles – talk with you later.  Lovely FEC report, btw.  Be nice, pass out the earplugs before you start screaming.
