It shows that Progressives in both Parties know better how to spend your money – taking it away from YOUR kids

A very disturbing, but not unsurprising, story out of Utah (via The Blaze) where it seems that both Democrats AND Republicans are saying “its for the children”, they have no problem in taking it from YOUR children – really (Emphasis mine, with some reformatting)!

‘Put Up or Be Quiet’: Large Families in This State May Soon Be Paying More for Education

Utah parents may be footing a tax hike amounting to roughly $400 million in total if State Senator Patricia Jones’ proposed legislation goes through.  The state lawmaker has reportedly been pushing an end to the state’s child tax credit, saying the state should put the money into public education instead.  “I think it’s tax fairness at its best,” Jones is quoted as saying. “It is bold, but our students deserve bold.

Not so much, parents who are, you know, RAISING those kids that you consider to be “our students” (yes, once again, we hear from the village idiots). As opposed to, you know, the hard working families keeping their own money for their own families?  “Bold” – since when has it been bold for a Democrat to propose a new tax on the productive?  Proposing more taxes on non-entitlement families?  Happens all the time – you know, these greedy politicians couldn’t smile at all if some “Bold” new tax idea didn’t pop into existence in that evil vacuum on top of their shoulders (I was going to say heart, but that seems to be as black and dense as a burnt out star – no compassion for the working families can find even a miniscule pinhole to land there).

According to KUTV, if the legislation passes high schools will each receive around $1 million, every middle school about $700,000, and every elementary school around $400,000.  According to Jones, the school board will be able to decide how to use the money, though she promises: “This would bring in money for teacher aids, reading specialists, math specialists and science specialists. Real school counselors. We could pay teacher bonuses for schools.”

No shame at all – all too willing to take from Janie’s and Johnnie’s parents to give to……wait for it………more Government workers!  Union Workers!  These nitwits ALWAYS have a way to take your money, wrap it up in pleasant phrases (“after all, who is against great teachers”?) even as they want you to forget that spending more money is not correlated with better education.  They also want you to forget that most school workers vote reliably Democrat and continue that grand Progressive tradition of steathily adding more and more public expense to that special interest group that is all too happy to vote against those same families interests in other ways.

She said the average family of four would pay about $400 more a year in taxes as a result.  “Sometimes you just have to swallow a bitter pill and say what are our priorities?” she reportedly remarked. “We have to look at education as an investment in our state, in our children.

Once again, we see the “it’s only a cuppa coffee (er, an extra-supersized grande?) in cost – and “it’s for the children” (but no longer for YOUR children if she gets her way.  Notice that she says the “average” family.  Utah – the center of the LDS church where large families are the norm  and often MUCH larger than the traditional nuclear family.  Thus, in trying to “sugarcoat” this new tax, notice that she doesn’t mention “and if you have more kids, well, we’re setting you up as an example”.

Moron.  We already see Social Security and Medicare in deep trouble financially simply because the ratio to producers to receivers keeps getting smaller and smaller.  I just keep trying to recreate the demographic math they must be trying to shoehorn this into – and I fail every time.  The Welfare State that they are always trying to enlarge is dependent on large families – more future workers from which to siphon their labor simply to give to others (remember, Progressives do NOT believe in the Right to Private Property).  Yet, just about every social policy that they deploy sends the signal to wealth productive families “don’t have those kids” (and with the high marginal tax rate now inherent in Obamacare subsidies, the signal is to earn less if you haven’t quit working in the first place).  Property taxes, CAFE mpg regs, pushing energy costs higher – everything from Democrats is regulating  us all to “small families” if you even bother to have one (after all, LARGE families have LARGE CARBON FOOTPRINTS – and we can’t allow that now, can we??) by making it more and more expensive.

Don’t worry though, the Stupid Party just HAS to get its two cents in as well:

State Senator Howard Stephenson (R-Draper) has expressed skepticism that the legislature would vote to approve such a measure, but has called the proposal “the most perfect version yet” for tackling Utah’s education funding needs.

And proves, in black and white, the oft said phrase “Vote for Republicans – we just suck a little less”.  With that, he shows approval of the taking – it just hasn’t been “crafted correctly” which is generally meant to be “in such a way that the mark won’t squeal much”.  But really, this is when Republicans prove that they really ARE the Stupid Party and show the utter contempt in which they can hold the taxpayers:

Rep. Francis Gibson (R-Mapleton), who is the co-chair of the Education Interim Committee, also reportedly remarked: “I want the citizens of Utah to put up or be quiet when it comes to funding education.”

Isn’t that just nice – hold still, shut up, and take it.  And you wonder why the TEA Party believe that Progressives live in both parties with this “royal decree” from the Republican that wishes to rule rather than govern?  Really, ask yourself, is this representative of a Party that “champions” Freedom?  Just shut up and take it??  Just do what we say – there can be no dissent.

Sounds like Obama, doesn’t he?

Just a FINE representative example of being the junior partner of the Ruling Class, isn’t it?
