Angry Atheists Want Ground Zero Cross Gone

From the ACLJGround Zero Cross

They lost. But they won’t give up.

Angry atheists claim the mere existence of the Ground Zero Cross is giving them “depression, headaches, anxiety, and mental pain and anguish.”

As ridiculous as it sounds, they are taking this argument to a federal appeals court.

We are preparing a critical amicus brief, due in a matter of weeks, to defend the Cross.

As the trial court correctly noted, these intersecting steel beams found in the rubble of the 9/11 terrorist attack are a historical artifact, not a constitutional violation. They really meant something to thousands of Americans whether the atheists like it or not.

We must make it clear: the Constitution is not an atheist manifesto.

Stand with us. Defend the Cross.

What are these angry Atheists, vampires?  (Maybe vampires were the first angry atheists?) “Ah, a cross, eek, get it away!  It makes my head hurt.”  What are you, children?  Better yet, fascists?  You don’t own every line of sight on the planet.  You can’t just keep demanding your way.

Did you ever think to ask yourselves that using government force to create an “absence of expression” based on your “belief system” might actually be more unconstitutional?

And while I’m asking questions, can anyone point me to the angry Atheists demanding action against the religious symbols of Islam for giving them “depression, headaches, anxiety, and mental pain and anguish?”

I honestly don’t know but I have an inkling of a notion that the answer to my question is no.

How about Wiccans?  Are the US atheists running a campaign to stamp out the symbols of their belief system?  And how about those of the Jewish faith?

Just questions.
