Hey, Let’s Threaten to Double the price of Milk.

sticker shock Milk
You don’t think the Federal governed is too big? Too powerful? That it isn’t more interested in what it wants than what you want?

Rep. Collin Peterson (D-Minn.) said he called Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack this week suggesting that the agency begin the process of implementing the 1949-era dairy policies that would take effect Oct. 1 if Congress fails to act on a farm bill before then.

This would effectively double the price of milk, hitting “hard working American families’ and their underemployed or unemployed counterparts hardest.

The purpose of the threat is to intimidate those who would like to slow the crisis and debt expansion (in things like the massive, pork riddled, farm bill) that is “milking” the earnings of future generations.  Democrats want to keep spending.  Adding debt.  Growing government. Giving handouts to cronies and favored constituencies without any concern for its effect on jobs, the economy or the children, now or in the future.

Curious problem; if the government can only get bigger and never smaller, then as a matter of Democrat policy, is the objective for it to grow until it collapses under its own weight?  When push comes to shove, who do the Democrats plan to cut loose to keep the bureaucracy fed, as that is their first and foremost priority.
