Wandering the Twittersphere – Adolf Hitler was Not A Conservative.

TwitlerI’m working on re-associating myself with Twitter.  As part of that commitment to wasting more of my time–in all honesty I have collected a decent news feed through my Twitter acquisitions–sometimes I wander off onto other peoples streams to see what they are sharing in 140 characters or less.

I found this very entertaining.

No kidding.

Of course to the average communist Progressive (See also Liberal American Democrat, Stalinist, Trotskyite, etc.) Hitler was to their right, even if he was just sitting in the seat immediately to their RIGHT,  still far to the left of even a modern day so-called left-leaning moderate.

That does not make Hitler a Conservative.

To put it in perspective politically–forget the war, torture, murder, meglomania, and genocide for a moment–Hitler believed in the same things socially and politically that the modern progressive Democrat believes in; among other things an all-powerful “chief executive,” central planning, secret police, environmentalism, a government that spies on all it’s citizens, the need to remove ‘cumbersome’ legislative bodies that keep dear leader from getting his priorities in place (though any good communist knows that a Potemkin legislature is not always a bad thing), a state that treats opponents differently and punishes them for being opponents, believe in and promote social division by playing on prejudice (real, imagined, but more than likely created), makes fixed arrangements with a small number of well-connected government regulated experts, corporate allies, and cronies in industry (Corporatism), and he was also reputed to be something of a health nut.

Fascism is a degree of socialism; it is a top down administrative state that uses intimidation and force (where needed) to retain an indefinite hold on power over a civilization cultivated by experts using law, guile, or force where needed, to ensure the proper people remain in power to direct society toward government managed social perfection, or something.

So while a Conservative could be pro-environment (more like a husband of the environment or a conversationalist in the classic form) or even a health nut, they would not believe in the government mandating or enforcing behaviors to advance either against the will of individuals or the people as a whole, nor would they support wholesale spying, secret police, central planning, eugenics, or an all powerful executive–see also tyrant/dictator.  (Bush did support some things that were sketchy by the way but neither Bush was conservative in the modern American sense; they were progressive Republicans who favored a much larger role for government and more of it than any true American conservative would tolerate… with a few conservative threads hanging from their coat tails.)

Meanwhile, the difference between the average modern progressive Liberal Democrat and a non-violent fascist is too thin a line to draw.  The difference between a violent fascist and a modern Progressive liberal Democrat is almost equally as thin.  Conservatives do not support riots, violent protests, threats, brick throwers, fire-starters, window breakers, mob rule, intimidation, media lynch mobs, Black Panther bounty hunters, death threats, bullying, a domestic corps of neighborhood rats and spies reporting to the Democrat mother ship, full time 24/7/365 political machines using out of state money (OFA, HRC, American Bridge, Granite State progress and New Hampshire Citizens Alliance, and many others in New Hampshire in Particular) working the locals to turn every small town issue into a fight for the future of some fabricated victim-class, or pumping money into local progressive war chests, nor would a conservative tolerate fully armed Cabinet agencies with no military function–Modern Democrats tolerate, support, and even promote all of that.

Conservatives want a predicable ordered and limited government, some working roads, light when they flick the switch, water when they turn on the tap, people who understand they need to work hard to improve their own lives, freedom of speech, assembly, religion, the right to self defense, a ladder and not a hammock (so they can learn to earn their own hammock if they want it), rule of law (not rule of whatever someone like Obama decides is law today and who it does or doesn not apply to) and a very limited system of support for catastrophic need,  and yes–a military capable of keeping the fight over there so it does not come over here and mess with the roads, lights, water, liberties–and to otherwise be left the hell alone to succeed or fail on their own steam, and to have a family and private organizations in place to support them along the way if needed.  Facsism, Hitlerism, is almost exactly the opposite of that, as is (not by accident) socialism, progressivism and the entire agenda of the modern Democrat party.

Democrats (progressives) don’t want the government out of your bedroom ladies and metrosexual men;  they want the government in your bedroom, under your bed, in every room, your bathroom, in your garden shed, your yard, your car, your wallet, your cell phone, landlines, laptop, desktop, food cupboard, refrigerator, thermostat, water-meter, garden hose, rain barrel, reservoir, kids backpacks, your bookshelves, bumper-stickers, in your prayers and totally in-your-faith and in every corner of your neighborhood, town, county, and state.

Ask them where government has no role and they have no answer.

So Katyaa has it right.  People who think Hitler was a conservative are why I suspect I should home-school.  They are clearly getting it wrong at the government school or simply not getting it right on purpose.

The problem, however, is that public schools have been selling Nazi’s as conservative for 50 years or more.  I have friends in their late forties and early fifties who, despite the overwhelming similarities between fascism and communism, can’t escape the brown-shirt rule; Hippie leftist teachers who were politically to the left of fascists knew they were competing for the hearts and minds of future generations going all the way back to the beginning of nationalism as seed stock of the megalomaniacal xenophobic totalitarian regimes that would litter the Eurasian landscape (and beyond) for decades (killing millions and enslaving millions more under their political will and the economic misery it created), but they still felt certain (and still do) that if you can get past the necessary violent upheaval (and maybe this time it wont be quite so violent) you will inevitably achieve the promised political utopia so we’d better make sure the little ones know what’s what.

It’s an entirely faith based political theory with no afterlife.  After the division, intimidation and violence there is just more violence because socialism, fascism, and even some of the more ignorant strains of libertarianism, completely disregard something that the Bible (which they often all despise equally) acknowledges frequently and at great length.  People are sinners, easily lead toward acts of selfishness by themselves and most certainly by others, regardless of faith, and if you push them hard enough they will resort to ill manners, bad behavior and outright evil–and excuse it as simply subjective, not evil at all, or just plain necessary.  But it’s still evil.

Sorry…I’ve gone way past my original point, which actually had nothing to do with any of this at all.  I just wanted to see what the Progressives would do if we put two swastika’s on the Grok within days of each other.  Sarah Chaisson Warner at the NHCA will be calling us white-supremacists at any moment.

If you’ll excuse me I have to go back to work so Obama, Shaheen, Kuster and Shea-Porter can afford to run every part of everyone’s lives for a few more years until they run out of other peoples money and that long anticipated and much needed violent upheaval can send us spiraling into ruin as this precedes their dreamlike social utopia they believe can come into being afterward.
