It might be voter fraud, and it might not; it might be tax fraud, and it might not: It all depends what the meaning of “reside” is….

This morning on GrokTalk, Ed Naile was regaling us with tales of suspicious Democrat voting patterns – he has SO MUCH evidence to share – and the topic of our Democrat senator came up, along with a reminder that daughter Molly owns a lingerie business (Naked Undies, no less), which is registered at Chez Shaheen in Madbury, NH, but seems to do all its business out of LA. (And which made the News Digest pages of the Limbaugh Letter this month. Subscribe here.)

When interviewed by the Union Leader, Molly Shaheen claimed:

“I’m very well-versed in the voting rules,” Molly Shaheen Told DiStaso on [July 11th]. “I split my time between New Hampshire and Los Angeles. I’m not permanent in Los Angeles.”
She continued, “I was living at my parents’ house when I voted in the last election. And I was in school in San Diego before that.”

You know, if some of the students and OAF workers temporarily living in NH would vote back home like Molly, we’d have a lot less voter fraud to talk about, and I’m quite sure that she’s way too smart to vote in LA as well as NH!

But what about that business, and her income? You see, we think that Democrats in Concord are a pretty grasping lot, but they’re pikers compared to California – if you live in state for more than 90 days of the year, they want their pound of tax flesh from you, and they will chase you to the ends of the earth for it. Those of us who make regular business visits count the days to ensure we don’t run foul of CA’s tax authorities.

So, reader, what do you think? Running a business out of LA, but home in NH often enough to vote – are we to believe that the business is doing so well that Molly only spends 89 days a year at her LA based business (which is registered in NH)??
