The New Racism whose name cannot be mentioned (emphasis mine):

Children on Chicago’s South Side are escorted to school through a phalanx of “security workers in neon vests, police officers on patrol, an idling city fire truck and, briefly, a police helicopter hovering above.” Similar school escort programs exist in other cities.

It’s no longer vicious white racists from whom black children need protection, thanks to the courageous battles of the civil-rights movement, but the mindless violence of gangs who share those children’s skin color. That criminal predation, with its debilitating effects on neighborhood vitality, along with family breakdown, lie behind lingering racial inequality today — not, as President Obama suggested in his Occupy Wall Street March on Washington anniversary speech, the greediness of employers who refuse to pay a “fair wage,” or the unequal application of  “the scales of justice . . . in the criminal justice system” (the latter charge an outrageously irresponsible calumny coming from the chief executive).

I agree with her – just as Andrew Breitbart famously said that “culture is upstream from politics” (meaning that if you want to change politics, first change the culture).  Obama, Rahm Emmanual; they say the problem is the gun culture in America that is the problem and anthropomorphize the hunks of metal and plastic with attributes that only belong to humans.  And they would be wrong – it IS the urban culture that is the culprit – but that would be racist to say so.  It also is all but impossible, it seems, for the American Black Leadership and the Left to point the bloody fingers back at themselves in shame and blame.  While culture is upstream of politics, Governmental policies do impact the culture (hence “Social Engineering”).  Yet, as we have seen in Chicago, NY, LA, Detroit, New Orleans, and most large urban settings that are mostly subsidized (and controlled by Government), the policies that Socialists want for us all have already be shown to be utter failures in the cities.

Yet, they want to keep on doing it…and WE are the insane ones for wanting to stop them?
