Job Killer Remarks on Breaking Ground for New Job Corps Center in NH

Jeanne Shaheen Signature: IRS, get TEA PartySo we spent trillions more and added 7 trillion to the deficit, and all we ever really need was a Job Corps Center?

WMUR

“The Manchester Job Corps Center will equip low-income youth with the skills they need to be successful in the workplace. The result will pay dividends for not only these young people but for our economy as a whole,” Sen. Jeanne Shaheen said.

Jeanne Shaheen want’s to talk about jobs?   Well here’s a little factoid for you.
When Jeanne Shaheen became a US Senator from New Hampshire, and began supporting the Democrat parties goal of larger more intrusive government, and the necessary funneling of even more money and decision making though Washington DC  (instead of leaving it here so that we could Concord, or even your own local town or city councils)  the New Hampshire Labor Force stood at around 708,000 employed Granite Stater’s.
The Federal budget is at about 1.2 to 1.4 trillion a year now, much larger than that of any predecessors.  The Feds borrow almost half of every dollar they spend, and since Jeanne Shaheen took office, they have added almost 7 trillion to the national debt.
In July of 2013, the New Hampshire labor force stood just under 705,000; 3000 fewer jobs than in July of 2009, five months after the after the Trillion Dollar American Recovery and Reinvestment in union payoff Act was passed.
Yes, a Job Corps Center sounds nice but private non-profits and even employers would do a much better job if you and the Democrat party would just stop trying to run everything from DC with our money,  got the hell out of everyone way, and spent more of your time trying to keep the wealth Granite Stater’s earn and create inside New Hampshire’s borders instead of spending all your time trying to take credit for how you magically managed to get some of it back.
Our Representatives are supposed to represent us and defend us from the Federal government not negotiate our terms of surrender.
And as long as Democrat leadership clings to governing ideas that waste money, destroy opportunity, and even make entry level jobs unattainable to unskilled or low-skilled workers, you can build all the job corp centers you want.   That won’t create the jobs that are not there in the first place (unless you plan on employee everyone at Job Corp Centers until the money runs out) because your obsession with backwards-thinking, top-down, over-regulated, government killed the jobs and then salted the field so it would be nearly impossible to create new ones.
It is both sad and funny to observe, as the WMUR article does, that NH is one of the last states to get a Job Corp Center.  What I find funny is that we used to consistently have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation without ever having had one.  So does this mean we should look forward to having higher unemployment rates like other states?
Trillion dollar Federal budgets, another seven trillion in federal debt, and thousands fewer jobs.  But look on the bright side.  We’ll have a Job Corp Center.  I wonder if anyone will go seeing as Shaheen already has a successful jobs plan she can run on.
