Data Point – there a reason why unemployment is so low – and it ain’t a good one

“a 34 year low” – the ONLY way that the 7.4% unemployment rate exists is because of the way it is computed.  It is this low because the unemployed, underemployed, and “have just given up” are not in this particular measure that Government normally touts.  The important number, the REALLY important one, is how many of our fellow countrymen are actually helping to pull the cart – and as you can see, the structure that the Obama Administration has been putting into place in “managing” the economy is doing such a bang up job.

Unemployment 2007 - 2013 Labor Force Participation 2007 - 2013“Following the Great Recession, we’ve entered into the Great Shift,” says Express Employment Professionals CEO Bob Funk, who previously served as chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. “This is a period defined by the Boomer retirement, Millennial frustration, and growing reliance on government programs. All indicators suggest this shift is not sustainable.”

Like I’ve said folks: Determined Weakness

(H/T: Big Government)
