Seeking Clarity from NH AG Joseph Foster

holstered-gun1At the tail end of this post, I asked these questions…

How about NH AG Joseph Foster, former NH Democrat State Senator?  He quite clearly opposes stand your ground, without which George Zimmerman might actually be dead.   It might be good to hear him (the AG) speak just as plainly on the matter of Mr. Zimmerman’s trial, the evidence, his declared innocence (by a jury of peers), if AG Foster thought Mr. Zimmerman should have just let Trayvon beat the sh*t out of him near-to or to the point of his own death, and–of course–on the matter of groups placing bounties on the heads of New Hampshire citizens just because they don’t agree with a Jury’s verdict.  We’d love to hear his thoughts on that as well.

Seeing as AG Foster has publicly re-stated his opposition on SYG in the wake of this trial, and invoked AG Holder’s most recent political anti-gun chess move as his motivation, and declared a need for the legislature to take another look at repealing it in New Hampshire, I think the people of New Hampshire deserve a second look at their Attorney Generals views on the circumstances as noted above.

He says, slyly, that retreat must be an option, but Stand Your Ground does not make retreat illegal.  Retreat is always an option.  But SYG also allows you to use lethal force to defend yourself when truly necessary, like….say, when a 5’11” young man has you pinned and is beating your head on the ground.

So additionally, why doesn’t the NH AG, and the Democrat party that pushed (and keeps pushing) repeal of SYG, trust law abiding gun owners in New Hampshire?  I’d like you to explain this because unless you have  a chain of evidence in this state demonstrating gross negligence and harm resulting from the mere presence of the law, this is either just another step in disarming the populace by making gun ownership too much of a bother, an effort to cast all legal gun owners as sleeper cell criminals or terrorists just waiting to become the next ‘lone wolf’ killer, or you just don’t trust your own citizens and prefer a society of victims getting raped, robbed, and murdered because you are more comfortable investigating why the intended victims of crime died instead of why they lived.
